Go to the top, click on Private messages, Locate the left menu list and under Miscellaneous you can View Forum Comments.

I have a question about comment etiquette...

When you receive a comment, is it customary to send a "thanks for your comment" PM?

'Cause sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.

Just wondering...

There's no standard way of dealing with Comments. As a lot of them go unnoticed, I've gotten used to leaving "unconditional comments", i.e. I don't expect anything back in return. I figure I'm just honing my wisecracking skills.

But its fun to get replies. In fact, I have conversations back and forth with Jubbers via the Comments, sometimes very rapidly. And I would say that I've probably made more friends around here with the comment system than with PM's.

I just learned something about posts and comments.

If you click on the "comment" icon on one of your own posts a window will pop-up.

If someone has made a comment on your post, it will be displayed for you to read.

If no one has made a comment on your post, a window will read "no one has commened on this post" or something to that effect.

I've noticed that about you

I didn't know about comments until about a month ago. I felt bad that I had all these comments and had never repsonded. I figured it just gave one more reason to loathe me.

Yeah I remember last year I had gone a month without any comments from anyone. I don't know, usually when I have a thread about my post count I would say thanks to everyone by commenting every single person. But I never know what to say to anyone when commenting unless the post I read was something that is worth commenting in private, other then that, I don't comment to many people.

Zeremonie, click on the comment box that you would click on to leave someone a comment, but on your own post. Presto, comments left for you on that post.

But, like others have said, not everyone even knows about that feature. Which is why I suggested some time back that a link right in our box there... you know, to the left of your post that contains your avatar and all that stuff... that we could click on that says something like, "view your post comments" or something like that be added so we can go directly to all comments without having to click on this and that to get there. Again, not everyone knows it's even there. So I think a visible link near our usernames would really be cool.

I just found that out about 2 months ago....normally I woulda clicked on "My Settings" then "My Comments" n stuff....

And still, it took me a couple of months of being here before I even KNEW about the comments. And there are many others that aren't aware of it, either. So I still think a direct link in our avatar box to the comments would be a cool idea. I mean, think of how many comments we've left for people months ago that are probably still sitting there unnoticed, lol.

That's why I became such a comment whore in the first place.

When I first found out about them, I had about 20-25 comments that I never knew about!

Then I felt like an asshole for not "replying" if you will. I don't respond to every comment, but everyone that's left me one?? Trust me, I see them
