I keep hearing that Some Straight people are threatened by gay people...But that makes NO sense to me. Like why would any straight person see a gay person as a threat? People being attracted to the same sex has nothing to do with any straight person at all and it doesn't impact them in any way..Are they just Insecure? or is there something deeper? JUBbers what's your take on it?.

I've heard them say things like, "If more and more people keep turning gay, there will be less reproduction and humanity will be in danger (threatened)." I honestly don't know for sure if they are being serious when they say things like that.

The straighter we look (and nothing wrong with any of us that do not) The more freaked out they get. Some who are so insecure freak out because we look as good or better than them and if they were friendly they stupidly fear others would say he must be gay.

The only straight people that feel threatened by gays are those who are insecure in their own sexuality.

It is very true that those that shout loudest have most to hide

I agree. These people will insist homosexuality is a lifestyle choice with so much conviction, possibly because to them it really seems to be a choice. They choose to hide or to "be normal" and out of fear they condemn the loudest.

I thnk alot of people have the "lights are on but no one is home syndrome" and thus live in fear of anything or anyone they don't understand or can't control.

because they find the idea of gay sex between two men "icky"

or they think we're going to "recruit" their kids

or they think we're all sexual deviants who are going to rape them in the locker room first chance we get

They have to make stuff up about us to justify their irrational hate and fear.

To be fair, I know far more gay people who refuse to have anything to do with straight people than vice versa. But then again, I'm on that team. :)

Then again, there are the posts here in which some Jubbers are begging for advice on how to get their straight friends into bed.

I agree with most posters. It's the fact that they don't understand us.

Because the ignorant ones think that all gays are sexual horn dogs that will jump on all straight men if their lustful whims are not 100% kept in check.

this except i would say that it's more so of fear in general due to a lack of understanding. i don't think that someone who identifies as straight feeling threaten by gays automatically means that they're uncomfortable with who they are. they just don't understand what being gay is all about because they have been misinformed somewhere down the line. they learned that being gay was something that the world looked at as bad like how all of us learned and they still think that it's an acceptable way of thinking. no one is born homophobic. it's learned. the best way to fight homophobia is by educating folks to understanding that being gay is no different than being straight. just because a man is gay doesn't mean that he's going to force a guy who's straight to suck his dick or rape him. being a gay male does NOT mean that a guy is a rapist, a pedophile, or a sexual deviant where something is wrong with him. there's too many misconceptions about gay men which is fucking propaganda that ultimately harms the perception of gay men in general where people think we're monsters instead of regular human beings that happen to be attracted to the same gender.

Yes.

Yes.

I'm amazed at those 1920s YMCA photos where the guys would swim naked together. Those relaxed days are gone. Nowdays they can't feel comfortable in the locker room.

in fairness, JUB has an entire thread devoted to jerking off in the locker room and new threads every day from guys asking how to seduce their straight buddies who they're in [STRIKE]love[/STRIKE] lust with ;)

Anal sex is one. Once people know you're gay the first thing that comes to mind is anal sex. For some, this is gross and unnatural. They just can't understand why someone would have anal sex.

The sake of humanity is another. More gays, less humans. A good bit of people see it as a disease that can spread easily simply by "knowing one." Oh no, the more gays we accept then the more gay people there will be - because straights will completely stop existing. It is natural to fear for humanity, but phobias are irrational.

And of course because all gays are perverts. We want all straight men and of course children too!!!

So it sums down ignorance. These peope are either sheltered or repressing true desires. Poor them.
