  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

I feel like murdering someone

Good for you Keb (*8*)

I only felt like that when I forgot to wear the patch..

I really love my friends, they stood by me when I was going through that, and I was not very pleasant to have around.

Oh, you know I JUST watched the episode where Roseanne starts smoking again and is forced to quit (again). It was hilarious... but I hope you aren't quite as bitchy as she was.

Or then again, if you were as bitchy, it might be sitcom-worthy! ;)

CONGRATULATIONS and :shamrock

hang in there!!

my mom managed to quit after about 40 years of smoking with auricular theropy. i'm not sure if that is how to spell that. it's some kind of pressure point thing on the ears. her chiropractor did it.

I think my life was sitcom worthy already.

I feel like that episode of Friends when Rachel starts smoking at work to try to get ahead, and then at the end of the episode, Chandler sneaks up and takes a puff of her boss' cig... I would kill to do that.

Must... have... discipline...

I wouldn't count a day as "quitting smoking". When you survive two weeks without a cig then you can say you officially quit.

I've been trying to quit for a long time and it's tough. The longest I lasted was about six days until I broke down and had one. First you start comprimising with yourself and say that you'll only have one but it's all downhill from there.

Has anyone here tried nicotine gum? I'm considering it because the sooner I quit, the better.

Whenever you feel like murdering someone just... have a stick of gum :)

Why? Why now? Are you nuts?

My latest deadline to quit smoking is after the elections. Provided they come out the way I want THEN I will quit.

Ya, right.

Kill me please, already.

Any day you decide to quit is worthy! I wish I had that discipline!

Now if you can come back here in 2 weeks, 2 months, or 6 months, then I will consider it a success! ..|

Kevvie-poo, I have something you can smoke! But if you're too stressed out, you can't have it. I don't want you biting down on it.

Seriously, good luck, babe!

I love ya gmoney. So, how's your quit smoking thing going? From the looks of your response, not well. Sorry to call you out but misery loves company.

I will thank myself in February for quitting now... Since they banned smoking in bars, I can't see myself outside on those -30 degree nights...

Your first three days are the hardest, however there all tuff to get through. Have a good support system set up for those days that are tuff, friends & family. Maybe go for a walk if you feel like a smoke, do something to take your mind off having a smoke. Next thing you know you'll be smoke free, for days, weeks, months or maybe even years. Good Luck!..|

I'm sure your lungs are happy that you've quit murdering them.

Congratulations and I wish you the best of success. I have no doubt you can do it.
