PE was so much fun, haha. Such an easy A... the only thing I didn't like about it during middle school was this bigger guy that used to play around with me. I wouldn't say he picked on me per say, but he liked to pick me up or slap me with a towel... I was pretty small then (short and skinny) so I guess I had it comin' lol, but it wasn't too bad. Just annoying sometimes. After that, though, PE was fairly easy and fun. Especially dodgeball.

Other than my shyness i loved seeing all those teen cocks flopping about after class

I never understood why guys wouldn't shower after they worked out. We were required from seventh grade all the way through high school. Because of that, it was no big deal to be naked in front of other guys. I would be more self conscious about body odor and the like if it wasn't able to shower than to be seen naked in front of other men. Now days when I'm at the gym I see guys go through all sorts of contortions, with a towel wrapped around their waist, trying to get their underwear on with no one getting a glimse of their wienne. What a homophobic society we live in. And its always the guys with nothing to show.

not wanting to be naked infront of strangers have nothing to do with being homophobic.

and alot of us wasnt required to take showers after gym

shit no one took a shower after gym class in my school cuz the showers never worked.

and i think its preety normal for people to put underwear on with a towel over thier waist

I do that at home with no one in my house

I loved any class that was an easy A and it didn't get any easier than gym. I wasn't exactly a jock, but good enough that guys wanted me on their team. Especially when it came to football as I was a good quarterback. Every period could have been gym as far as I was concerned.

In junior high our gym teacher Mr Barker--he was young blonde and very nice looking-( my sister had crush on him as I remember)--he had to sit in front of the office door and watch us to make sure we showered---every day.

One time--I never heard who did it but someone took a dump in the shower area and the gym teachers were so pissed off they made us shower for a couple of days with the turd in the middle of the tiled floor---guess till a parent heard and complained.

*sigh*

It's hard not to be jealous of guys like you.

I mean, I think I'm a pretty good guy, but I suck at sports and that fact got shoved in my face on a daily basis back in those days.

I thought the point of going to school was to make you a better educated and well rounded person, not to make you feel somehow inferior because you couldn't throw a ball the right way....

Yeah, I guess I'm still a little bitter. ;)

You guys do PE in college? Is that routine? We don't do that here in .za, unless perhaps you are majoring in sports science/human movement science.

I wasn't required to, but there are a few universities that do require it (CalTech and UNC come to mind). Where I went to grad school (UNC), the undergrads were required to take either a year or two of PE. Some of the classes actually looked pretty fun like downhill skiing, archery, ballroom dance. As a grad student, it was very annoying because we were prohibited from enrolling in the classes because other students needed them to graduate. I really wanted to take a swimming class one year but wasn't allowed and ended up paying for it at the YMCA instead.

i had it twice when i was in middle school, we didnt shower, just changed, it wasnt that fun because it was so regimented. i took it my sr year of high school and loooved it, we just played sports, although my bf was in class too so it made it more fun lol

I did enjoy seeing my naked gym teachers. In those days, the teachers used to shower with the students.

I hated PE. Bane of my schoolday besides waking up. I started getting chubby in 6th grade. Was fat by 8th grade. As if being a fat little kid & having to take your shirt off isn't bad enough, it's awkward enough when you're gay. I was embarassed to take my shirt off until the end of 10th grade when I got active and changed my diet and everything. From there it was just an effort problem - mostly the mile run - Fuck that shit. That's the attitude I've always had about it, since I was little.

Halfway through high school I got a note from a doctor about my bad knee which to be honest only flares up from high-impact (i.e. running) but I used it to completely get out of P.E. class and I took Walking class. It was like the mile run every day, but longer, but you just had to walk. Didn't have to dress down or anything, you just got a nice long walk basically. The class was 80% 'slow' kids (whether fully mentally retarded or just... sort of), 10% medical reasons, 10% kids REALLY stubbornly against P.E. which happened to be some of my friends. Good stuff. I loved "P.E." once it turned into Walking for me.

"What class you got next?"

"Walking. :D"

I liked it when I could do stuff on my own such as exercises, lifting weights and running on the track but hated group sports as I was very uncoordinated and was usually picked last.

Middle school PE wasn't so great, but it was alright because i got to basically just talk to my friends the whole period.

In high school, my school had a program where if you did something extracurricular that was excercise, then you could get out of PE, so I got to get out of it because of all the dance classes I took outside of school.

We started taking actual PE in the 7th grade thru the 12th grade .. We were REQUIRED to shower, and that was the highlight of my day watching all the guys change and shower ... so close to me ...
Now; I failed gym being a fat kid .. BUT; the coach always commented that "At least he tries" to some of the other guys ...
Once we had to jump hurdles .. well I made it over three or four, then I fell and straddled the next hurdle and busted my balls . The coach sent another guy (My best friend ) with me back in to shower early and get dressed and rest the rest of the period . So, my friend ask me if I hurt and I yell back that it does .. when we got into the locker room by ourselves .. He reaches over and begans "Massaging" my balls saying it will make "Things" feel better AND it did ! My dick got hard and I got a hand job .. after that we had weekly sleep overs ..

I enjoy P.E during high school. A lot of my friends was in class. And no one was a sports freak so that turn out good. I remember we would all get a A in gym and slacked off during health class and we get a c

The only thing i hate about gym was the mile run i was and still am fat and it was hard trying to get it done in under 15 mins. In Nj gym class was a requirement and thank god we dint have to take showers. I miss this one guy in my gym class he had a fat ass and i always smacked it and he would show it off to me.

i actually enjoyed PE when i was growing up! I liked being out of the damn classroom for an hour or two, running around and being generally active. :gogirl:

as i got closer to high school, i didn't enjoy it as much because i was pretty much focused on volleyball at that point, i didn't care to play the other sports.

I hated my body in PE, which was mandated in the 9th grade. I was 120 pounds, skinny as a rail, and could not gain weight or muscle. I ate tons of food but I was apparently active and my metabolism did not allow any of it to stick!

I did love the showers afterwards, however, and enjoyed "peeking" at the other guy's dicks (especially the older guys in class!)

Hell, when I was in the police academy I was put on a high-calorie diet because I was still only 145 pounds, lean but muscle.

Ahhh...but today....now I have to work out five days a week, keep steady at 180ish, but have to work like hell to do it! Muscle tone is okay but I'd like it a little bigger; the abs I think will never reappear!

I didn't really hate it. I wasn't all that athletic but things weren't
all that bad.
The big payoff was the locker and communal shower. Everyone
took a shower and nobody seemed to mind at all. A lot of
horseplay and plain old fun. From the time I was six I knew I was
different and pe rocked.
Oh the memories. shea

I was never good at sport and was the last one to get picked. But having said that, I've taken up martial arts and hitting the gym. Of course I've got other reasons to go to gym :-)

I was a severely frustrated athlete that didn't understand how to surmount my klutz-komplex.
They should institute activities that help you enjoy your own body more.
Pliometrics, for example.

What is pliometrics?

...I totally agree with your comment.
