I lost on Jeopardy

I really love this show. Alex is really enjoying it too. I've been enjoying the categories that they're doing.

I think Ken is killing them both on the button.

The men are so different.

It's interesting to note that they were not all academic successes.

Each very charming in his own way.

And Alex has been more ebullient that I've ever seen him.

^ he very recently said he's feeling better after the doctors stopped giving him one chem drug that he said was "killing him"

On the first episode Brad made a comment that he was a bit nervous it had been so long that his instant recall and buzzer speed may be down - and that seems to be coming true.

I have to say - this has been WAY more entertaining than the usual shows on ABC!

The four of them are having such a good time, it is infectious. If they are not, then their acting is very good.

It's interesting that it is all male. I'm not sure Quiz Bowls are so dominated.

I do think anytime questions are so obscure that no contestant knows them, it is a smirch on the selection, as the quest should be for a competition of well-read individuals, but not rewarding very obscure knowledge that the audience doesn't know either.

The TV listings show epis airing Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday AND Friday this week. The only way that works is if James wins his second game and Brad comes back from the ashes to win two and force a 7th and deciding game for the title. This has been great to watch.

It will be back on next tuesday. If James or Brad win it will continue.

I have a dilemma. There is a Democratic meeting in a neighboring suburb (Berea) tomorrow night and I want to go to a local Democratic meeting to see what they are like. I may want to volunteer in the future, or add my comments and I want to scout it out. If I go to the meeting, I'll miss the Jeopardy show.

You should be able to watch it on ABC.com

OUCH! The BURN!

James dissed Brad at the beginning of the 2nd game tonight. VERRRRY funny! The audience gasped and laughed.

Ken's final jeopardy bet was amazing. James is going to have to work to win this.

Ken is good for the industry. He plays for theater. James is hard to watch as he answers, squinting, but his zingers are pure gold. Brad is sterling in his upbeat philosophic nature. He doesn't have to prove himself. He's smart. He knows it. Just not the smartest and fastest on stage. Good for him.

James' squint might be due to his mother being Japanese.

Alex's voice broke up a bit when he said Ken was the champ.

All the hugging at the end was very sweet. A nice memory was made.

I would have answered Falstaff on that final question, so would have bombed.

I didn't even see Ken write an answer. I thought he didn't know it.

I had the wrong time for the Democratic meeting, so I missed it and got to see almost all of the show instead. Great.
