Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.
OK, then, just in case you're reading this, sarah... you're a fucking moron. You're the reason why America is in the shitter. Your dumb-ass "solutions" to complex problems you and your fans can't understand are ruining a once-great country. The reason I hate you isn't because you're popular, it's because people like you are what's keeping us from moving forward. Your cutesy answers that betray your complete lack of knowledge and basic 4th-grade understanding is what is dragging America into it's third-world status.
your daughter is a slut.. don't ask me which one, I mean both of them. But you, Sarah, are the reason that America sucks. Your "fans" are morons who don't understand the talking points they parrot out and I hope your smug face once day gets sanded off.
I also hope you know that your "retarded baby" as you call him, is smarter than you and that slack-jawed bunch of dolts who bought your book.
We know you didn't write it and we know you didn't read it.. it's ok.. most of your fans can't read.
I hadn't planned on posting a response in this thread, but there's a LOT of hateful and bitter comments and put-downs being posted here, and none of them really make a case for the other side, and most are being directed toward the orginal poster, that I felt it necessary to say something.
Also, right now, I'm more concerned about the American economy and the direction this country is headed, than I am about gay rights. Gay rights isn't going to help me pay my bills, put gas in my car, or food on my table. When the bills start piling up, no one cares if I'm gay or straight, black or white.
I had a job until Obama became president. The day after his election, last November, my company began laying off workers, and continued to lay off more and more as time went by. As the economy continued to sour, 40% of the remaining temp workers at my company were laid off in June, including myself. I was four months shy of being hired as a full-time worker.
I'm a proud gay man who wants to see this country succeed, and I believe this lady has what it takes. Maybe you should read her book and see just what kind of a person she is before you judge her.
I like her too. I don't agree with everything she stands for, but I'd rather have someone that speaks their mind, than someone who says one thing, then does another.
Obama's plummeting approval numbers (now below 50%) would suggest that many Americans who are beginning to feel the same way. The man is too indecisive to be President of the United States. When you're President, you can't vote "Present" like you did when you were a Senator from Illinois. The country needs someone who's capable of making a decision and do it quickly, not a rock-star politician. I keep thinking of Hillary's "3:00 am phone call..." She was right.
But anyway, back to Sarah Palin. She was great and suggest you all read her book, you might learn something. Now, I'm getting off, off the computer that this and going to bed.
Don't let the comments and hateful remarks posted here discourage you. I find it laughable when Republicans are referred to the as the "angry", "mean" and "hateful" party. While there is certainly some of that to be found on the extreme right, there is far more hate and vitriol from the left than from the right. Those who would like to see the causes of the left advanced really do make horrid spokesmen for their cause. They do nothing to win supporters from the right. It seems that they often resort to puns, parodies, put-downs, and name-calling when they find themelves cornered in an argument. The more I hear them talk/write, the more distance I want to put between myself and their message.
I've mentioned this here before: Of all the presidential elections I've voted in, I voted Democrat in nearly everyone of them, but that stopped after the re-election of Bill Clinton. When the verdict came back on the DNA evidence on the blue dress and the news stations played his "Let-me-say-this-one-time-I-never-had-sex-with-that-woman" remark over and over, while he stared into the camera and shook hs finger in my face, I vowed never to vote for another Democrat again, and I haven't. To this day, I can hardly stand to look at him or hear him speak, and that also goes for Al Gore, who was a representative from my own home state.
I wasn't happy with McCain and Palin on the Republican ticket in the last election, but I voted for them, because I just didn't think Obama was the best Democratic candidate. And I feel even more strongly so as time has passed. If Hillary Clinton had managed to win the nomination, I would have considered voting for her.
I don't think Palin will ever run for office again, but I think she has the makings of being an effective rabble-rouser for the Republican party and the Conservative movement in America. Right now, I think she's testing which route she should pursue.
You're missing the point; it's not necessarily her. Were she just who she is, she'd just be someone I'd never be forced to consider or itneract with. but she isn't; she has been artificially made a political presence, one that still could potentially have some influence over the way American politics and world politics in general. As a political figure, I find her views and beliefs verging on the retarded (and I mean that in the most literal sense) and potentially very, very dangerous.
I couldn't give a toss who she is or how she comports herself in her personal life.
I had a job until Obama became president. The day after his election, last November, my company began laying off workers, and continued to lay off more and more as time went by. As the economy continued to sour, 40% of the remaining temp workers at my company were laid off in June, including myself. I was four months shy of being hired as a full-time worker.
She does not "hate" me and everything I represent, my friend. I'm a proud gay man who wants to see this country succeed, and I believe this lady has what it takes. Maybe you should read her book and see just what kind of a person she is before you judge her.
Well, I'm done with this thread. I won't be visiting it again because this line of thinking is the antithesis of any knowledge of history, current political reality, with a total lack of social consciousness.
Let me see, I wonder what else there is on Hot Topics......
>>>What really baffles me is that people (morons) expect for Obama to make right 8 years of Bush crap in 8 months. Don't ya'll know that it took Roosevelt 8plus years to take America back on track back in the 1930's.
And several historians believe it was Roosevelt's self-same "New Deal" programs that kept America from getting back on track for so long. In short, he hindered more than he helped. As always, though, it depends on who you believe.
If anyone has seen this video of the Columbus visit, I just want you to know that not everyone in Columbus, OH act that stupid. But now that I know these people live around me. . .
