If all the States in the USA were represented by food, what food would each state be represented by?

Nothing is quite as satisfying as perfect grilled cheese sandwich, outside a perfectly cooked egg of any style.

One of the last meals I took my grandmother out to have was for her birthday when she was in her mid-80's. She wanted a hamburger. I took her to a drive-in that had indoor seating too, as it was known for a very good burger. It was called The Corral.

We were the only customers there at that hour. The ONLY thing she asked was that it have no mustard.

When it came, the damned woman put mustard on both buns. I sent it back, although Grandmother hated to put anyone to trouble. It was all I could do not to strike the woman. All my grandmother wanted was a hamburger, FFS.

Maine definitely Lobster.....

It's actually hard for me to come up with an iconic Florida food, mainly because the state seems to have mostly adopted food that came from elsewhere. The two items closest to representing Florida as a whole are Key Lime Pie and Orange Blossom Honey. The Cuban sandwich is Tampa's go-to food, and the Bay Area thinks their grouper sandwiches are a big deal. And eating raw oysters with hot sauce seems to be pretty big among some people in the state. And depending on where you are in Florida, Southern, Cuban, Italian, New York deli, seafood, Mexican, and other cuisines abound.

When I think of Florida food, I think of Gulf seafood. When a child, that was shrimp, but most shrimp used to come in through New Orleans.

As a young adult, it was definitely Red Snapper. I still think it may be the best fish I ever had, probably at Destin. It was overharvested, so limits were set and it is much less served today. They use a lot of names similar to it, as people have it in their minds.

No state represents cabbage? :(

I think I remember Alaska growing record cabbages, if you're a big fan.

Philadelphia I used to associate with a fine and expensive imported cream cheese made by Kraft, but last time I bought it I see it's now made by Mondalez in Australia.

(Toblerone also just another Mondalez item that now tastes no different from a local cheap chocolate bar.)

That's actually not a great pic. There are many huge cabbage pics out there with more resolution and a more rounded form, but he is/was the world record holder, so I wanted to show him.
