If being gay was a choice, would you be?

Yes I would choose to be gay.

And I would also make it society would be accepting of lgbt people as a whole. I feel like I don't need to change or choose to be straight. Society needs to change and grow up.
 
being gay has made me a better person. Had I not been gay I would not have worked as hard as I did in school and I would have ended up just trying to have a good time and end up in a mediocre career. I wouldn't be so acceptant and understanding of people either.
so as hard as it is to be gay, it's defined me in a very positive way.

I want to say yes, but if the intolerance that exists today still existed in that world, then fuck no. That being said, I would so be open to experimenting.

When I was younger I would have said yes, but now if I had a choice I would choose to be straight and enjoy it and all the perks that come with it.
 
Im content with who I am as others have said. Plus, im sure if im straight, i'd have a billion kids. Luckily, guys can't become preggo.

I wasn't trying to put myself on a pedestal and sorry if it came off that way. I've come to a point in my life where I'm finally happy with my sexuality and proud of who I am and wanted to say something positive about bisexuals.

I also don't think bis are the most victimized, but you can't tell me that they're not constantly looked down upon in these forums. I'm also not innocent of being judgmental but I think I'm much more open minded than I used to be.

You ever see those conservative, closeted gay guys who get put into gay reform camps or exorcisms and end up being eternally confused? I'm not saying that's the same as gays immediately writing off a bis' as "confused gay guys", but that happens all the time in the gay community with people trying to tell others who they are rather than allowing them to find out for themselves. For a long time, I didn't know who I was, and people trying to tell you what you are just makes the entire process of coming out and accepting yourself harder and more frightening.

That being said, I'd probably never fully understand myself if I didn't have the communication and feedback from this place.

.. I never said it was, but when it's with someone you care about, I'd say it's the strongest expression of intimacy you can have. Basically, you have more options and a wider variety in attraction is all I meant. Doesn't necessarily mean any sexuality is better than the other.

Hell yeah I'd CHOOSE to be gay. it's never stopped me doing anything I wanted. There's never a benefit for me to be straight. Tried it didn't particularly like it.

It seems though that many people taking part in this discussion aren't exactly aware that this is what it's all about. Life would be so much easier, for me at least.

That right there is what threw me about your other post

You made it sound like you meant "You can't tell if you like someone without fucking them, so, you must fuck everyone"

That could of been what you meant, but what you are saying now I doubt even a prude like me could disagree with.
 
I love being gay. But the answer is no. It's caused me too much heartache in my younger years.
