In the last year of primary school, I cheated in an exam, and got caught. The brilliant young student was a cheat. It embarrassed my parents. It shamed and embarrassed me because I knew I did not have to cheat to get top marks. But little smart arse me wanted to be even better. If I could, I would do that exam again and not cheat. (It taught me a lesson I have never forgotten so maybe it was better I cheated at 12 yo than later in life at university, particularly in the area of research.)
 
Oh I'll plump for the obvious and say, The Crucifiction of JC; I'd love to know what (if anything) actually happened back then.
 
I for some reason have always wanted to live in the early 1920's.

As for my own lifetime--I'd like to start over in late high school years. It was right then that I started making so many mistakes in my life that i would like to fix....
 
I would like to go to Classical Greece - 450 or 430 BCE. I would like to see the Parthenon when it was first completed and listen to Socrates and Plato. I would also like to visit Monte Alban, Oaxaca in 200 CE. As for my own life, when I was 31, it was a very good year, but many of the 30s were good years for me. In my late 30s I was back in college for my second degree, which was another Bachelor's degree, and so I was in classes with 18-22 year olds, and I got along with them much better than I expected. I had some problems with some of the females, but not the guys.
 
As a gay man, I'm not sure I would like to live in the past, but for a short visit, I would have to say..........I would like to have been around when the constitution was being written.

In my lifetime.......wow, I have made so many mistakes, but I love the person I am today, and who I am with, so I wouldn't change anything, but to relive my partying years as a senior in high school........that would be great!

I'd like to go back and witness Jesus Christ's life, starting at His agony in the garden, His crucifixion and death, to His resurrection. I think it would deepen my faith and love for Him and give me a greater sense of thanksgiving for what He did.

As for my life, I think it would be neat to witness my own birth.

It was 1976, honey. I don't even think they had ultrasounds back then.

I would want to witness it in real time anyway. For some events, video doesn't do it justice.
 
i don't know about the time period.

but i know that i would got back to my last two years of high school and enjoy myself a lot more. i already had fun; but i didn't do as much as i could have. i had money, i had a car, i had free time and i didn't have nearly as much to worry about as i thought i did.

instead: i'll go back and take my unwitting hag out to far far away places on the weekends.

i would taken up on my ultra hunky hot friend's request to judge his poses and muscles (he was an amateur all natural body builder).

i just would have had fun 'cuz my parents gave me an ultra long leash, i had a lot of free time and i had money those years, but i spent all of my time feeling bad about how i looked; how the bullies treated me; scared that i might be gay; and worried about my future.

Umm...if you mean a certain time in MY life, I'd go back 3 years to the 9th grade and re-live my highschool years with my new mentality and outlook on life and not as the anti-social, uptight, miserable son of a fucking bitch I was back then. I would've had so much fun... :( But I fucking blew it...

Now, if you mean any period in history, I'd love to be living in the era if the great discoveries when there were still undiscovered parts of the world and stuff ! Columbus-era...so...late 15th-early 16th century, somewhere in Europe . Ahhhh those must've been times ! :D

OR..I would go back to when Jesus was supposedly born and living to see if any of that stuff actually happened, just like Marbas said !
