If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the news?

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Maybe....

G-Lexington is the only one I talk to on the internet outside of JUB. Perhaps one of my friends that knows he's my friend would pass the word to him and then he'd pass the word.

I also have several JUB members' phone numbers, so if my fiance had the presence of mind to call at least one of them, then the word would spread.

If not, then no. None of you would know.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Matters on how many people I kill in my inevitable psychotic rampage and if it makes the news.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

I'm on many online forums and blogs, and none would know cause, my family and friends don't know about my online hobbies or activities.

same here. i was thinking about this lately because i had a discussion about death with a friend but maybe it's better that way ....

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Seems kinda weird to tell your family.

I did tell my dad though when I came out and told him about the meet in October and the one in Nevada which got cancelled.

But haven't mentioned it since then. I doubt he'd remember or care.

I need to have like a robotic chipmunk in me. And when I die it comes out then goes to take a bath and then plugs itself into the computer and notifies anyone and everyone I've already met online and passes one what I know to be published into a cheap book that no one reads or cares about.

And then it explodes and candy comes out.

That would be osm.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

My partner of twenty years knows that it would be right to inform JUB of my death and the causes. He would do it in such a way that it would allow the responses of those who would in some way mourn my death.

There is a forum now, and I like that. I do miss a couple that I knew in my early days for whom I am relatively sure they died, and one in particular comes to mind, and he is Andreus. He was a fine JUBber and he and I engaged in support of each other when the Religion Forum was a place of infernal and eternal flame throwers. As a Christian and Muslim we locked arms and became good friends.
I miss him. I wish we could have mourned his death in a thread. But there is that not knowing.

Piggy, I am glad you can answer yes as well. I like that. Thanks for putting into action a thread that I have often thought about. Kisses to you.

No, they wouldn't.

I'll have to come back and tell you myself.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Probably NOT......

"IF" I became ill, of course, I would let ALL of you know about it; but if I should die suddenly, I seriously doubt that my man would serve notice to anyone other than my immediate family....

NO, this is NOT meant to be a slam at any of you wonderful JUBBERS, NO not at all....
You see, my Partner is extremely private about most everything, including ME! lol

We have a serious "pact" concerning our last will and testament: WE both want to have a traditional Jewish burial. This means we want to be buried before the next sundown and that usually means NO embalming and NO frilly caskets (ONLY a simple, un-ornamental wooden box, with just the star of David on the lid)and we will be washed by people appointed by our faith to do so and to sit in repose with the body till the time of burial and we will NOT be dressed in clothing; but we will be wrapped in our prayer shawl and our Kipah (little circular hat) and NO other worldly things....we leave this world as we entered this world....almost.

NO flowers, for we instead want people to donate to their favorite charities so that some good will become of our deaths instead of dieing plants, etc....

SO..........you see, the event will be without pomp and ceremony, for we do NOT believe one should celebrate or make a big deal out of something that we all must endure...

Of course, our families will mourn our loss, MY Partner will mourn my loss and usually suffer the most of anyone over my demise, as I would his for sure...

I DO hope that ALL would remember me as I was in life and not be angry at NOT seeing my dead body, the empty thing that carried my soul around, etc.......

I DO hope everyone understands this reason for my wishes..........(*8*)

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Parents don't know about here and my sister no longer lives with me so no JUB would not receive word.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Maybe, my good friend John AKA Drops of Jupiter is a member here but he doesn't come around to often, but if I died maybe he would post about it.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

I'm new here so this thread kinda threw me off guard. At first I thought it was weird. I thought "why would anyone on a forum care?"

After reading more it started to get depressing (the whole death thing). I realized there are a lot of caring guys here. As in any community, this forum is made of many different kinds of personalities. To some it's not important who knows and to others it's very important. I guess it really just depends on the level of connection one has with others. There are probably several guys here that really do care but have no real contact with anyone on this board outside the internet.

I plan on going to some of the meets and get to know other JUBbers. Why? It just sounds like fun to me. If by chance I establish good friendships with any of them I would want them to share my demise with the others I've gotten to know but never met in person or exchanged personal information with. But even then it's no guarantee. It just depends on your circle of friends and how close you really are.

One thing I do know for certain is that we have limited control on what happens after death. That limit is based on what we tell others while we're living. And, then it's still up to them to act on it.

This thread and the recent passing of someone I barely knew has brought fresh memories of a troubled friend I met online about year ago. I think I'll write about on my blog.

Wishing you all the best...

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

No, you wouldn't.

In all my time here, I don't think I've ever gone longer than a couple of weeks without making a post. If I was going to be offline for longer than that, I would definitely make a post or PM a few JUB friends before I disappeared, just to alert you, and to let you know when I'll be back. If I haven't done that, and I've been gone for three weeks or longer, then you can safely assume that something terrible has happened to me.

It's a horrible thought, actually. :(

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

Yes. My lover is well known on this board.

Re: If you died tomorrow, would JUB receive the ne

i travel so much for work and pleasure, i'll probably die away from home even....perhaps not even in the US...i'd wonder if even my family would know...there's only 1 bro and 1 sis and me left...

i do the I.C.E. phone number in my cell phone and i always have it with me, so i guess they'd find out and tell a few close friends they also know about, but...

JUB....naw....i don't really communicate personally with anyone here....few people respond to any posts i make and i rarely receive or send pm's.....i'm confident it wouldn't be noticed if i disappeared
