Just got this in an email and thought I'd pass it along. It's really shocking.

Boy, was I confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it is the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.

I now find that to be RIDICULOUS.

I didn't write the email but I don't think it's racist at all. The key word is "Illegal". Doesn't matter what race they are, the fact is that there are over 10 million people entering our country every year, that's 100 million each decade. If you haven't noticed, we have a major economy problem and can not support this many people. Our tax money, is paying for this 338.3 billion dollars a year. We're paying for them so we have a right to be annoyed. Some people are just afraid to face the facts because they don't want to be labeled racist so they call everyone else racist.

Racist would be writing an email about minorities coming into our country. There shouldn't be a problem with minorities entering the country, I'm a minority myself. There's only a problem if people enter the country illegally.

Also, I think its funny that you mentioned that we having a "major economy problem" because public opinion of illegal immigration seems to be directly correlated to the state of our economy. Once we start to go into a recession, people are way less tolerable of illegal immigrants. Just like the repatriation in the 1930's with president hoover and the great depression.

You may be right. I had no bad intentions when creating this thread. I got an email that I found imformative and decided to post it here and share it and then people accuse me of being racist and trolling for trying to do something good. People can take it or leave it with the email but the email does have its sources. I just clicked on them just now and some of the articles have been taken down so I don't know how old this email is.

Yeah exactly. I'd be all up for spending this money on helping other countries improve their conditions so them and future generations can live with good conditions but them all coming here is like running away from their problems and forcing other people to fix them while leaving people who are still in their country in the same poor conditions.

They're also creating problems over here. 10% of the people in this country are unemployed and I'm sure these people would rather have a job then no job. It's also going to up the amount of homeless people who have to steal and commit crimes to get by.

So, $200 Billion of that $338.3 Billion figure comes from a guesstimation of a hypothetical income, providing every job done by illegals were instead filled by Americans making actual legal wages -- instead of the generally reduced amount illegals work for?
