I'm Confused! Changing JUB Forums [MERGED]

Why can't the moderators make up their minds? Five minutes after changing the Forums about they've done it again. It's so confusing and frustrating!:confused: I know it's probably to try and make the Forums easier to use but I bet you still get people posting in the wrong place so it won't make much of a difference. How long before things get rearranged again?

the new forums are much more confusing. let's go back to the way the forums were originally arranged. it made much more logical sense having the naughty bits separated from the other forums.

But how would you know if it was broken or not? After a month of very exhaustive discussion between we, the admins, and the mods we made the changes you see today because we are quite convinced that things were indeed broken. There were 145 posts on the matter before the action was taken today so it wasn't done lightly or on a whim.

We are trying to breathe new life into the forums because quite frankly the activity level around here is in the pits. We are hoping that by moving the more popular forums to the top, we can show new visitors to the board the portions of the forums that are of the most interest to people.

If someone is coming here to look for naked photos of Mario Lopez (which it seems 9 in 10 do), then why make them wade through religion, tech, and international politics first? Thats just one example of the kind of problems we are hoping to address by rearranging.

It really shouldn't be that confusing. There were no new forums added today. We really only changed the order. I hope you can manage ;) More importantly, I hope this actually works and that more people will start posting and registering. We need a shot in the arm in here.

thanks for responding Seth. i think maybe some of the name changes of some of the forums might have added to the confusion.

I like the new changes to the forum. In order to keep this Forum alive it NEEDS to be shaken up now and then. I hope you guys DO realize that if the membership on this forum falls too low to keep running it worthwhile, that it WOULD probably be shut down. So lets all try to "recruit" new members from the "real world" when we can. I've told new friends (internet buddies and real world friends) about this site, and even (LOL) wrote the site name (justusboys.com----the forum!) on a bathroom stall wall once a year or two ago. :) Whatever it takes to bring in new members and keep this thing running! :)

Could We Stop Rearranging the Forums?

Please? I don't really understand the new organization... it seems a little random but at any rate could we maybe settle on a set up soon? It keeps changing.

Well I recently helped create a new blog and we link to JUB as it's one of my favourite sites. However I found the previous layout easier and I preferred having separate adult sections so you could choose from your sexual interests which Forums to post in. Now they're all mixed together.

As I said it seems like just five minutes (well maybe a month or so) since they last rearranged the forums. If they want to keep members I'd stop changing it. I'm also not sure how having fewer Forums encourages new people to join.

What I'm confused about, is what is the big deal of making the boards fresh and new..

It still has all the same content, and I think a fresh new look is just that..

Well, I'll tell you, I liked the old organization better, too. Having the porn in one place, the no flame zone in another, and the chit-chat forums in a third makes things easy to find. (Yes, I consider CE&P, where you'll usually find me, chit-chat.)
