It feels surprisingly fine. It's not exciting nor terrifying (so far at least).
Thank you all so much for the support but also for showing that you've been through the same thing. It's comforting and makes me feel safe and less alien, especially since I've never had any gay friends.
I've read every single response so thank you all for helping me through this. It's possible I might even start doing some "how to come out" questions but I'm not sure if I'm ready yet.
again thanks!![]()
What exactly did you receive help with?
You posted on an anonymous gay blog that you're gay. What exactly have you achieved?

It was something I couldn't do before but can now. I guess it shows progress... Maybe baby steps, but still progress
I had never actually said that to anyone (I clearly implied it by posting here though). Anyway, I'm gay! Dunno if I'll feel good about posting this later so I'm posting it now before I change my mind
Progress toward what, exactly?
Progress toward what, exactly?
To be comfortable and happy with who you are.
And you're saying that that's possible through being anonymous?
And you're saying that that's possible through being anonymous?
Yes it is. If you need assurance (and you seem like you do) there are people who will be happy to help you.
I'm saying that admitting to yourself you are gay, if you think you are, is the single biggest obstacle some men face to happiness. Some guys don't want to be gay. That's a fact. By admitting that you are gay, even anonymously, can be a huge step, for those guys, like me. Perhaps we're all not like some sort of non-emotional Dr Spock off Star Trek, as you may be.
Well, let's just hope Corny6 still feels good about saying what he did in the original post.
I say... WELL FUCKING DONE
Corny6, You just became a better man.
