Re: I'm so dissapointed at tonight's primary resul
I'm not talking about the Clintons' experience I'm talking about Hillary Clinton's experience. She wasn't president, she wasn't vice president, she wasn't even a member of the cabinet. I just don't understand what exactly this political experience is she's claiming she has that gives her the edge over Obama. Which is why I choose to vote based on the issues and the plans they have the for the country.
First and foremost, he seems like a wonderful, genuine person. I'm sorry but I've never gotten that vibe from Hillary. The first time I really paid attention to her as a presidential candidate was during the HRC forum and she disappointed me. I just felt like steaming hot bullshit was spewing out of her mouth the whole time. Granted, the same could be said for both Edwards and Obama when asked to explain why they support civil unions but not full on marriage. I wasn't even aware of her comments about Gen. Pace until then, and I'm not happy about them.
I like the idea of cutting income taxes to offset the payroll tax.
I like his commitment to glbt issues.
I like the idea of cracking down on employers who hire illegals.
His plans for protecting social security and strengthening retirement savings make sense to me; sound doable--he's firmly against privatization
Health care was the only thing really keeping me from deciding between the two because I know Hillary was a champion for Universal back before it was the popular thing to do, but upon researching their plans they don't look much different to me. Maybe someone can correct me.
I've heard Hillary say a lot about fixing our diplomatic ties, but at the same time she seems a lot more war happy than Obama, which makes me skeptical.
And a few other issues that don't exactly come to mind this late at night lol
I think your sarcasm and dismissal of the Clintons' experience is not very convincing. What exactly makes you believe so strongly in Obama's credentials? Please try harder to convince me; it will be good for the country to continue this debate intelligently.
