How about Dr. Shrinker ("Dr. Shrinker, Dr. Shrinker, he's madman with an evil mind. Dr, Shrinker, Dr. Shrinker, he's as crazy as you'll ever find..."
That one does not ring a bell to me.
Does anybody remember the one with Jim Neighbors & Ruth Buzzi playing some kind of psychadelic robots???

I'm so old I remember ....

...when a pay phone call really was a dime.
... going to Disneyland as a kid and having to deal with those tickets and never having enough "E" tickets, because the "E" ticket rides were all the fun ones! (somewhere, I have a book of those tickets from when I was a kid! :D )

The Diving Horse at Steel Pier, going to the movies and being able to watch it as many times as you wanted and only having to pay once.

How about the hamubrger plates (burger, fries and a side of cole slaw) at Woolworth's lunch counter, with a tall lime frosty (and you got to keep the glass!!!)

And depending on where in the country you lived, you could get the equivalent meal at lunch counters in Neisner's,JJ Newberry's, McCrory's, HL Green's, SS Kresge's, or WT Grant's!

Ronboy:

At the same lunch counter at Woolsworth, to get a banana split you had to "burst" a baloon. The price of the split was inside: from free to $.99! ;) :p

How 'bout those large records: 78 RPM records.......they were huge!

You guys ever seen those even in museums? ;) :p

Wow Cocktales! I remember that too! Never got a free one, but I think I remember popping some ridiculously low price, maybe 39 cents? That was definitely at Neisner's in the Westgate Plaza in Rochester, NY! I can still see all the balloons lined up on a string hanging over where people sat at the counter on the green stools that swiveled! :=D:

I am so old: Remember the old type vending machines for soadas where you opened the top and the bottles slid along a path to the place where you put money in and chose which you wanted?

We would get a long straw, a bottle opener, open a drink, drink all the soda, and put the top back on!!!!

(My parents found out that my friend and I did that and they made me go to the store owner: Mr. Stallings and confess and pay for what "I stole"!

Man, parenting back then was rough!!! !oops! !oops! !oops! !oops!

OMG I lived so close to Westgate...

I am so old I remember Star Markets had a huge market in NY.There are two stores left in Boston. (Wegmans kicked thier ass in NY)

Long Gone Stores:

Gold Circle
Bells
Apples
JM Fields
Two Guys

How about Carrol's, Fay's Drug Stores, Present Company, Scrantom's, Sibley's, McCurdy's, B. Forman Co. and Edward's? (someone could probably make a website dedicated to all these long gone Rochester institutions!)

Red Barn was on the corner of Chili and Brooks Avenue. They had two "big" hamburgers, "The Barn Buster" and the "Big Barney" (although I can't remember the difference between the two!)

alas, a Mickey-D's now sits on that very spot....

And I'll bet you looked adorable in them!!!!!!!

I'm so old, I remember when a letter could be mailed on a .06 stamp!

I am old enough to remember that we use to not have: Those damned orange cones for construction zones!!! :grrr:

the first series of power rangers... wait... im only 18 i think im too young for this game :( *sobs*
