I'm so old I remember............?

I also remember two Mrs. Kravitzes, two Louise Tates, and two different Mr. Stephenses (Darrin's dad) !!!!

I remember two Beckys on "Roseanne", and Roseanne, Dan, Jackie, and Darlene made jokes about the two Darrins on Bewitched when the new Becky made her appearance! (though that wasn't really so long ago)

.........when Sears sold from the catalogue (not that long ago)........I wonder if the new owner K-Mart will revert back to catalogue or go more internet?? ;) :p

When the AFL was a seperate football league! (it didn't merge with the NFL till 1969)

No reason to be ashamed. I was flipping through some old football cards that I had stored from when I was a kid, and saw Brad Van Pelt's card. His son is infinitely cuter, but Brad would have been acceptable in his day. Now back to the game...

...Joe Namath in panty hose commercials!

hee hee ... I'd forgotten about those!

...Wilt Chamberlain in a Volkswagen ad, in which they seated him behind the whell of a VW Bug!

Oh wow! I'd forgotten about that one!

William Shatner (circa 1975) in commercials for Loblaws, a supermarket chain that used to operate across Western New York. They were owned by the Canadian conglomerate George Weston, Ltd. They also had Loblaws in Ontario and Quebec, and those stores are still in operation.

Picture Shatner walking through this modern, 1970's supermarket and delivering, in his Captain Kirk demeanor..."Loblaws, where more than the price is right, (pause) but by gosh the price is right!"

*why Captain Kirk ... here to resupply the Enterprise?* :D

...I remember Mikey from the Life Cereal ads!

Kid 1: What'cha got there?

Kid 2: Some cereal. It's supposed to be good for you. Do you wanna try it? *pushes the bowl toward Kid 1*

Kid 1: I'm not gonna try it. *pushes the bowl back*

Kid 2: I'm not gonna try it..... *pushes the bowl back again*

Kid 1: Hey! Let's get Mikey! He hates everything! *they push the bowl to Mikey, who begins to eat, as Kid 1 and Kid 2 watch in surprise*

Kid 2: He likes it! Hey Mikey!

*voiceover, with a background shot of the three kids eating cereal with gusto*
