:cry: i was getting ready to go out tonight. my grandma opened the front door to my house and my dog Charlie went running outside and some stupid asshole ran him over......he didnt even bother to slow down or stop his car!:grrr: i couldnt bear to hear my poor dog cry in pain.....he's in the pet hospital in intensive care.....today is the worst day of the year so far for me.....:cry:

Aww, poor puppy! I had a dog that got hit by a car, and he was just laying in the road when my neighbor knocked on our door to tell us what happened. :cry:
I feel your pain! Just be thankful he's alive! (*8*)
 
Oh man, Jethillsong, I am so sorry to hear that. I know what you mean about hearing his cries of pain. I know you feel helpless and like this is a nightmare, but try to keep the faith. I hope the little guy has a complete recovery and is home with you soon. I know it's a lot of money, but I bet his love for you is priceless. Take care and let us know how it goes.(*8*)
 
I'm so sorry to hear that, I know how much pets mean to us in our lives. I don't know what I would do if my dog got ran over.
 
That really sucks. At least hes still alive. My dog has been getting worse and worse lately, I think he's only got a few days left.:(
 
Is a full recovery expected? I certainly hope so!

I've seen and heard this sort of thing happen before. About ten years ago I was at a friend's house in Saginaw, and I heard a thump down the street, immediately followed by hearing a dog screaming. I remember very little else about the trip, but that sound, that horrible sound, is seared in my brain forever...

I also hit a dog myself once, years ago - far out in the country in Idaho, and not even near anybody's house (that I could see), and it was like around midnight. I couldn't figure out any way to find who the dog belonged to, let alone knocking on people's doors at midnight...
 
It's bad enough that it was your best dog friend; but it would have been the same probably if a child had run into the street chasing a ball or something!

I just can't believe how people react when they run over something while driving!

I just canNOT imagine running over a dog/cat, I always manage to avoid them some how, thank goodness!

Here's wishing that Charlie makes a full recovery!

With a name like Charlie, how could he not get better. I'm sure he'll be fine. If you saw that guy's car model or license plate, you should try to track him down.
 
having an injured pet is horrible.. I hugged my dog when I read this.
 
That's really sad news. But the recuperative power of dogs is legendary. I hope he'll be all better soon!

I lost my dog Tenoch earlier this year - that asshole did not stop either, and I at least had time to get Tenoch to the vet before he died, in my arms as the vet was about to ut him down - that your Charlie is alive is a miracle and I would thank God for that rather than blame God - shit happens with dogs - I'll never get over it, I pray that Charlie does recover fully
 
i'm sorry too. that really, really sucks. there's nothing worse than seeing your pet in pain...i've been there.
