Because that video was the result of some producers saying "hmmm... who else can we find who will look like a trashed out/fucked-up crack addict, have her sing a 1960's inspired pop song and have her convulse on a bed and call it performing" or "how can we get lightning to strike twice?"

At least they aren't hiding the fact that they are being as unoriginal as humanly possible. Anytime I hear someone introduced as "the next [fill in the blank]", I immediately begin to lose interest.

(honestly, I love a lot of the artists you post about but this chick is just another blonde heroin-chique whore. That video of her dancing in the hallway and rolling all over the bed was just silly and that "Roses are red/violets are blue/why is my heart/made for you" thing is like reading a 8th grader's english notebook.)
