Chicken Biriyani
Butter Chicken
Tandoori Chicken
Channa Masala Curry
Naan (and pretty much all the breads..keema naan is great)

For those that have tried tikka..whats the difference between it and tanoori? i mean i hear it just doesn't have the bone but does it taste different?

Masala Dose
Chicken Biriyani
Samosas
Naan
Mutter Paneer
Kabobs
Tandoori anything

It's kind of spicy for me.

lol..lot of people that don't know Indian food that well say this. It's not all spicy and a lot of it that is is very lightly. There are only a select few dishes that are really really spicy.

Even I don't like really spicy. Try any of the stuff in my list because none of that is very spicy. Some of it not at all, the other stuff very very mild.

It doesn't have to be. I lived with a family in Madras and the wife made two diners. One HOT  for me and one mild for her husband. Both tasted great. It doesn't have to be hot and many restaurants there give you a choice.

I think it depends on where you have it. In my experience, the spice level is different across continents by which I mean I find those serve in India super spicy whereas north american/europe ones are mild. Same thing can be said to other ethnic food as well, like Thai. Those you can get from there are super hot and some of the dishes, i couldn't even finish when I was there. North america/europe one...? so bland. :)

Anyway, from indian food, I'd pick - samosa salad, chicken salad, goat curry, cholay patu, pani puri, areloo gawphe(not sure those spellings:p)

Mahsala Dohsa (sp?) please...

And DON'T let the owner make it -- its WAY to spicy when he does...

:lol::lol::lol:
