Is Anyone Watching Torchwood Season 2?

Iplayer won't let me......cause I'm not from England. Same thing happens to me when I try to access the torchwood site and some doctor who features on BBC site!
Strange! How does it know which country you're from? Oh, and just for the record, there's more to Britain than England.

Loving the whole series its about time we've seen some ianto, Jack action I love the humour that has been injected into Ianto of late. IMO there hasn't been a bad episode and I can't even say that about Who! I hope Martha come back she was wonderful. the video above has spoilers for the last 2 episodes of the series be warned.

I love Gwen! I want to be her best friend!
lol
I really like this show. But the guy who plays Captain Jack is SOOO bad! I laugh whenever he speaks. He's decent looking and makes out with guys. So I'm not complaining too much.
But everyone else on the show is great. And I love Titicaca from AbFab. She's a really good actress.

I actually hate Gwen. She's my least favorite on the team. I really like Tosh and I wish they would do more with her character. I hate how they keep pushing this Jack/Gwen romantic connection all the time.

I must be missing it especially since Gwen got married and Jack and Ianto got it on.

Gwen is a take it or leave it character for me. She's a total wench when she is leading Rhys on (with Owen, and now Jack), also she has some gall to flaunt her love with Jack in front of Ianto.....one of these days, I wish that man would speak up, instead of taking the sidelines and watching on; but she can be pretty sweet and badass. I'd like her more if she got over this thing with Jack and stuck by her husband, who went through hell and stuck with her knowing what he knows.

Not that I'm condoning Jack. He's a total prick. He doesn't care about treating Ianto as his little consolation prize, since he can't have Gwen. I know the writers probably are just stirring up people, knowing the majority want Janto, and it will be very interesting to see how they can convince us Jack's fully over Gwen, and is really in love with Ianto.

Er, so much drama. Bring back Captain John, maybe he can slap some sense into Gwen again.

Finally someone who agrees John Barrowman cannot act!

All I can say is thank god for the lines he is given and the cast around him.

Are you serious? Jack and ianto has a very physical relaitionship as we all know. But it's obvious that gwen and Jack have this intimate thing that is stronger than he has with anyone else. Even Rhys sees it that's why he's so threatened by Jack.

I think John Barrowman can act. His character is supposed to be different from his Doctor Who Jack. He's supposed to be exaggerated and way over the top, like a pansexual comic book hero. He does that well.

I think John can act pretty well. Yeah, I agree with aijalon on that the current Jack is different than the Jack seen on Doctor Who. the first time he's with the Doctor (#9) and Rose, he was a "wild child" who was using his Time Agent status in order to cause chaos, and treasure hunt. He tamed down after meeting the Doctor, who had changed his selfish ways. He naturally becomes another person around the Doctor, simply because he admires and looks up to him.

Anyways, I love JB's acting. He plays the character very well ('course, he's just as crazy, if not crazier in real life, from what I can tell). I love his "bilectuality", and when he speaks in his Scottish accent (which we've established, is as real as his American, yet some people think he is faking the Scottish, for whatever reason).

But that's just me. Obviously, I have no power to force you to think otherwise.

My least favorite actor on the show is Burn Gorman. He plays the over-confident "player" well enough, but when emotion comes into the equation, it comes off awkward.

yet some people think he is faking the Scottish, for whatever reason).
That's bizarre considering he's from Glasgow. He did the switch between accents tonight on I'd Do Anything.

OH! MY! GOD! I can't believe it ended like that!(*U*) I kept expecting a twist in the tale but it didn't happen.

Well, I didn't post these rumors earlier because they seemed a little too over the top to be true, but with tonight's finale, for sure at least part of them were confirmed with tonight's events. Anyway, read these spoilers of sorts with less of a grain of salt than there would be had they been posted where when they first appeared on the net and of course, buzz away with your thoughts on them:

Sci-Fi Pulse reports today that two of the biggest genre shows on TV - the latest BBC incarnation of Doctor Who and the even superior spin-off Torchwood - will undergo some major changes soon. They report that Torchwood, one of the best shows on TV and one of the biggest hits in its genre, will undergo the biggest facelift, losing Burn Gorman (Owen Harper), Naoko Mori (Toshiko), and John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness). How Torchwood could continue without Captain Harkness is a mystery to us. He's one of the most engaging actors and characters on TV and the center of the show. Sci-Fi Pulse says that they think Barrowman may come back every now and then in a recurring capacity. Pulse says that, as of season three, Freema Agyeman will join the show as Martha Jones and take over running Torchwood with the returning Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper.

They also note, in more news that baffles us, that the format of Torchwood is going to change. The show has worked successfully as a sci-fi show for adults with sexual references and dark humor. Sci-Fi Pulse reports that will change and that Torchwood will be driven more to kids. Ugh. They also report that the recently commissioned third season has only been set for five episodes instead of the usual thirteen. What?! Torchwood is performing better in the States than Doctor Who. Why are they screwing with it? The story does note that these are all rumors. Scary, stupid rumors.

OMG i did expect some of the events to happen. But I'm so anxious for next season. I hope this article is bogus. John Barrowman makes the show. I do like the addition of Freema if that's true. Maybe they could have Captain John takeover. He's not exactly like Jack but he's so charismatic like Jack, but in a different way.

Why did they have to kill Tosh? Not cool!

I can't wait for next season!!! I hope that article above isn't true. If they aimed the show at children, it would be a dreadful mistake! And they'd probably lose all the gay elements that drew me to the show in the first place.

And even though Captain Jack is my least favorite character, it wouldn't be the same without him. But I actually wouldn't mind seeing Martha come back and run things with Eve though, with Jack making occasional appearances. As long as they don't aim it at kids. Thats just stupid.
And I would love for Captain John to come back. Or they could introduce two new characters next season? Who knows? I can't f'n wait!!! :D

I recorded the final episode and have just watched it - I'm exhausted and emotionally drained - I, too, kept waiting for the twist. I think I have to go and lie down !!

Don't believe everything you read on the net! John Barrowman is certainly not leaving Torchwood! He's in series 4 of Doctor Who and will be back in the new series of Torchwood.

BBC2 is screening an edited version of Torchwood for kids as well as the original cut for adults.

If anyone has watched season 2 of Torchwood they'll know Martha guest starred for three episodes. She hasn't replaced anyone in Torchwood. She will return for a few episodes of season 4 of Doctor Who.
