Firstly, put down the Joe Rogan, no. We're not a Communist country, and I think we're doing just fine considering the world is in such turmoil.
Trumpism, ironically enough has actually been bad for Pee Pee Milhouse. He thought the knock off Trump schtick was going to get him into the Prime Minister's office and it's blown up in his face by the very man he sought to emulate. Pee Pee Milhouse's want to be Maple Syrup Trump is that already Trump is not very popular here in Canada. Sure, we had our very own pseudo January 6th when a bunch of anti-vax yokels decided to take over Ottawa, but the country did not support them at all. They flew their Trump flag and their Fuck Trudeau flags, set up bouncy castles and hot tubs and made a dump for three weeks, while Doug Ford the Premier of Ontario went into hiding leaving it to become Trudeau's problem. Trudeau gave them a lot of leeway. Three weeks to be exact. A lot more than indigenous protestors got, but hey... don't tell Pat King & Co that, cuz they were the true victims when after three weeks of terrorizing the Ottawa public while the cops stood around doing nothing, and Pee Pee Milhouse took selfies with them, the business sector finally stepped in and said to Trudeau 'Do something NOW!' and so, Trudeau invoked the Emergency Act, because again... Ford went into hiding, and the cops refused to do nothing. But as they say, money talks and when the Ottawa business sector said to Trudeau stop this, he did.
Fast forward to now: Pee Pee Milhouse REALLY thought the Prime Ministership was in the bag. And it still COULD be. But Pee Pee Milhouse, hasn't taken a hard a line against Trumpism as Trudeau and to everyone's surprise Ford have. In this country we have removed American booze from our liquor stores. And the supermarkets highlight what are Canadian products. Companies are reminding you that they are proudly Canadian and in Montreal where I live after Amazon FUCKED our workers, the city has removed Amazon as its official supplier. We are all looking for ways to counter Trumpism. But Pee Pee Milhouse, decided the yokels were going to bring him to power, only to realize now that Trump has decided to turn against us because he has no actual solutions for the American plight, has come to realize the yokels are not a strong majority. And no amount of frustration, or boredom with the Liberals Trumps -see what I did there- nationalism.
Canadians are not very nationalist. At least not in the American sense. This isn't a humble brag, it is because Canadians more often than not look to where the grass is greener south of the border. There are Canadians that even envy the American healthcare system. And then you have Americans baffled that we would want to be strapped with medical debt. But alas... dumb people come draped in many flags. Some years ago, I worked at a company with many Americans. I once spent a summer with handsome American with pretty eyes and a pretty mouth and this huge dick. They have such ambivalent feelings about our healthcare system. The Americans you meet in Canada are very friendly. They get defensive when you bring up the U.S. But I have never met a Republican American here. And the ones that have kids push their kids to learn French, tho they themselves seldom speak it. They don't want to talk about Trump. And the ones that do speak very disdainfully of their fellow countrymen, but will remind you that they have nonetheless the best country.
People hated Trudeau if you ask me, out of boredom. He's been Prime Minister too long. They cite stupid reasons that have nothing to do with Trudeau: housing, healthcare, the inflation... housing and healthcare are provincial jurisdictions over which Trudeau has no say. And the provinces going through housing crisis, all have Conservative governments. So... same with healthcare. When Trudeau finally said to the provinces that he would not release for funds until the provinces guaranteed that they would not privatize but rather use the money to keep healthcare public, the provinces told him to STEP OFF their jurisdiction. So, there you have it... but the yokels blame Trudeau.
"Canadians are proud of our universal public health-care system but we all have to recognize it hasn't been delivering at the level that Canadians would expect. That's why sitting down with the provinces, working collaboratively and investing significantly in priority areas, is going to move us forward in the right way," Trudeau told reporters ahead of his "working meeting" with the premiers.
The federal government has said it is prepared to increase the Canada Health Transfer (CHT) and sign bilateral funding agreements with each of the provinces and territories — but Ottawa wants its money targeted at priority areas like primary care and mental health.
Ottawa also has demanded that the provinces improve their data collection to better track health-care performance and outcomes.
I'm not a Trudeau fan myself. Not because of the housing situation, or healthcare, but because he didn't actually DO the things he postured to do. He didn't make any great changes from Harper other than being handsome, with a sunny disposition, friendly towards 'the gays' and a feminist, tho not actually fixing economic situation of women. He pretty much let private investors buy out the country. He turned a blind eye to his friends in the supermarkets that colluded and price gouged us. He didn't respect indigenous land treaties, he maintained a weapons trade with Saudi Arabia. I do admire that he did say: If Netanyahu sets foot on Canadian soil, he will be arrested.
Anyway, I'm an NDP voter, through and through. I'm voting for Jagmeet Singh in the upcoming elections. They have pushed and succeeded in achieving a dentalplan, a drug plan that will cover insulin and the pill for women just to start, as well as school lunches for kids. They were the only party who brought the supermarket CEOs into parliament to grill them over price gouging during the pandemic... the NDP is not going to win. Firstly the Canadian public is not ready for a Sikh Prime Minister. Secondly, as always the Liberals thrive on making Canadians very afraid of a Conservative government and so NDP voters turn to the Liberals to prevent what could potentially be a very damaging Conservative government. Pee Pee Milkhouse hasn't done himself any favours: he's openly affiliated with White Supremacist groups, he's not presented any platform other than Trudeau bad, axe the carbon tax, and tried to copy Trump. The problem is, there is no cult of Pee Pee Milhouse. So he can't say: we still stop supporting Ukraine because Canada's Ukranian community is LARGE and based out of the Praire provinces which are the heartland of the conservatives, especially Alberta. So he can't alienate them. He can't go too heavy on anti-immigrant rhetoric because he NEEDS the Ontario voter which is very diverse. They don't like him in Quebec which is also a HUGE electoral battleground. But in Quebec if they are not happy with the Liberals, then the Bloc Quebecois will get those votes, not the Conservatives. I think British Columbia for the most part is either Liberal or NDP, as are the Territories. Here, Pee Pee Milhouse has also fucked himself by downplaying the effects of Residential School on the Indigenous populations. The moderate conservative, the Brian Mulroney type is more than happy with Carney. Carney maintains respectability and protects their pocket books. The average Canadian sees Carney as a reflection of where the country should go: Polite, Moderate, Sane, Calm.
But here's something even funnier. Pee Pee Milhouse put all his chips on Trumpism. And Trump said: I prefer Carney. The Pee Pee Milhouse base has been betrayed. Trump don't even like them.
I think there IS potential yet for a Pee Pee Milhouse victory. All things are possible and there's plenty of stupid going around in this world. Plenty of petty, asshole voters, who want petty, asshole politics and a representative of their petty, asshole selves in Parliament. We are actually undergoing our elections now. All the parties have launched their campaigns and we'll vote Monday, April 28, 2025. Canadians are distrustful of Pee Pee Milhouse to protect the nation from Trumpism. They look at the chaos and we like our eggs being affordable. Oh yes! I must say: I love eggs. They are such a staple food for me. I love eggs scrambled, hard boiled, sunny side up, with bacon, in order to make pancakes. You can get 30 eggs in Canada for $9. Pee Pee hasn't said much about the prices of eggs in the United States. Carney is promising to take us through this incoming tariff war. Pee Pee says he can fight Trump and that Trump prefers Carney. But when you spent your time since the pandemic courting Canadian MAGA, no one trusts him. Jagmeet Singh wants to ban Trump from Canada. I support this. But no one will vote for Jagmeet Singh. Even though, he represents the Canada, American point to as the ideal.
Anyway, I do think it's delicious that it was Trumpism that has weakened Pee Pee Milhouse. He was SO SURE. SO SURE he had it in the bag, but he's not proposing anything. Anyway, Canadian National Treasure Margaret Atwood had predicted he was going to burn out: She also laughed off anyone who calls Trudeau a dictator...
