Is Elon Musk in Trouble?

...The losses leave the electric car maker’s market cap below $350 billion, having been valued above $1.23 trillion just over one year ago. To put this in context, this loss is more than the combined value of all other car makers globally...

The only Elon fanboy I know has stopped trying to torture this into some kind of genius Elon strategy we common folk just can't comprehend.

I think I comprehend the above clearly enough.

I suppose there is a case to be made that Tesla was massively over-valued in the first place and this is a market correction, but I like to think that Elon is a super-douchebag who managed this all on his own.

Who will weep when he moves to Mars?

The fact that he used Twitter and social media to pump and dump Tesla stock should have made it impossible for him to ever buy it.

The fact that he is now responsible for the plunge of the share prices back to the level they are actually worth would be sweet justice if he hadn't made billions selling.

Nothing would make me happier than seeing him lose it all. But people like him never do.

Oh, he's gonna take a shot at it. I don't know exactly how he secured the loans to buy Twitter (at its exorbitant price) but he apparently bought Twitter stock on margin, secured by Tesla stock, which has dropped in value so much the banks are going to either require 70% more (the value lost approx) or the cash equivalent.

I'm going back to my happy place where justice is always served by 6pm prompt.

Oh look at homeless Elon, his tattered clothing, wandering the streets aimlessly. Looks like he's digging through the trash cuz his tummy's a-rumblin. Oh boy, he's found a cup. A reprieve from the summer heat. Take a sip Elon, hydrate. What's with the sour look on your face Elon? Oh no, they were using the cup as an astray, poor Elon. Keep digging, might strike gold and find a cold half burger in there. Don't give up, Elon.

You could purchase 14 Twitters with the money that has been lost by Tesla since the purchase of Twitter.

I'm assuming he hasn't been able to convince the Saudis or his other marks to pour more money into the Twitter sinkhole?

Happy New Year!

Not that I'm aware. Who would invest except maybe as part of a quid pro quo with Elon.

More cuts at Twitter according to Bloomberg.

The anti-hate speech and anti-harassment unit have been disbanded.

To date Twitter has laid off roughly 3,700 employees since November in order to cut costs.

I doubt if it will work.

It's possible that the emerald mine is the only true thing in his answer.

Well when you get rid of the anti-child trafficking team and reduce it to one person this is the next natural step. Luckily for him this move was swallowed whole by the rest of the news cycle.

Musk, in a tweet: I would like to apologize to Halli for my misunderstanding of his situation. It was based on things I was told that were untrue or, in some cases, true, but not meaningful.

No, Elon, it was probably based on things you made up.

$TSLA stock is down billions of dollars today, as the result of concerns that Elon will have to dump more stock to pay the estimated *$100 million* he owes the disabled employee he fired & ridiculed on Twitter for having muscular dystrophy & asking employment status.
