Let's play a parlor game titled "What's the dumbest thing Elon Musk has ever done?"...Actually, my vote goes to the federal lawsuit X filed on Aug. 6 accusing big advertisers of colluding in a boycott of the platform, ostensibly because they disapprove of its content. The filing was announced in a video tweet by Linda Yaccarino, the chief executive of X. Yaccarino's hostage-like affect and her theatrical hand-wavings in the video are so eerie that some viewers speculated, also on X, that the video is an AI-generated deepfake...

No one has torched their image in service of Donald Trump like Elon Musk has. Sure, Musk started tearing down his altruistic billionaire Tony Stark image when he bought Twitter and turned it into an alt-right Mojo Dojo Casa House. But after his fawning talk with Trump on Monday, the unmasking was complete. The man who claimed his chief aims were to save humanity, champion free speech, and lead the world into a better future came across as just another lap dog clumsily debasing himself in the political arena to serve his wealth...

Interesting take on how Musk's endorsement of Trump may have backfired on both of them. Generally, I beleive that the distaste for Musk out there is so generalized that his particular brand of psychopathy only appeals to the same Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate incel knuckle draggers out there who cheer him on as some kind of boy wonder, but his interview with Trump is coming back to bite them both in their considerably padded, rank asses.
