I've got tons of Muslim friends they're, gasp, harmless regular people. No more of a threat than anyone else would be. For me the threat is exponentially higher that it would be someone of my own ethnicity to do, uhh, chop off my tits.

Palestinian? Jesus you're going to scare him off! I will break him in and introduce him to a friend who is half white, half Arab. you couldn't even tell he's Muslim by appearance he looks like a white guy. He's a dj and business owner and I've never gotten the "gonna cut your tits off" vibe.

A much more succinct version of something I think I was trying to say 4-5 pages back. Religion very often becomes either the justification for, or the standard banner for, hatreds which tend to be based in geopolitical interests, often going back into history along ethnic or cultural or racial lines which in some cases even predate the introduction of the religion.

Having lived in the middle east, it's a very difficult culture in which memories are measured in centuries. If you ask someone in the US what they had for dinner the night before, they'll have to give it some thought. As someone from the middle east what they had for dinner last night, you'll get a story about how their ancestor was slaughtered in a genocide a hundred years ago.

The Old Testament (a booked shared by several of the big players in the genocide game), has the ultimate "convert or be killed" history in Exodus 34:

I'd second this. I've seen otherwise good-hearted people say and do some pretty hateful things based on political ideology that had nothing to do with religion.

I've mentioned the thuggery, the jihad car and the fortnightly shootings in my city. I know about London (where that man was hacked to death in post 364) and about Oxford where new pedophile victims have spoken out this week.

This group of men identified vulnerable girls for abuse and then groomed them to service other men.
