Is Legacy news media about to die a slow death?

It kills me to include them..but when even FAUX won't support a completely naked attempt to have government control the news entirely....although sometimes I think that organizations, politicians and others see the possibility that this becomes permanent, even under some future fantasy Dem administration.

NBC News has terminated its teams dedicated to covering Black, Asian American, Latino, and LGBTQ+ issues

The major outlets are reporting that the entire Pentagon Press Corps, with the exception of OAN, has surrendered their Press badges and walked out of the Pentagon this afternoon. Fox was one of the outlets that walked out.

I'm surprised they haven't filed a lawsuit to prevent Hegseth from doing this. There is still a First Amendment.

Fox has all sorts of dirt on Hegseth from his time working there. What is it going to take for Fox to use it?

Even the Ellison owned, Bari Weiss controlled CBS has made a show of not bending the knee on this one.

The terrible part? TrumpCo. is probably delighted.

No press to cover the Pentagon? Perfect. Everything they do there from now on will be more secretive.

The worrisome thing is that this also indicates a disengagement across the board. Which is a form of capitulation.

Too typical that most of the MSM stories about this fail to highlight that this is happening because TrumpCo. lost the court case. A win for the American Federation of Teachers union and borrowers.

Look out for misleading headlines attributing the loan forgiveness to Donald's goodwill, which as we know, is nonexistent. He and the Department of Education settled in court after being sued by the union.

Also note that this is not a blanket forgiveness for all but one limited to specific repayment plans and qualifications.

^ the “in certain in certain” error says an awful lot about the MSM these days

I get that it is an opinion piece.

But I also think it is a bullhorn for capitulation...a call for people to embrace the strongman leader.

Another viepoint?

This is who has supplanted the legacy media.

CBS is rightfully getting a lot of backlash for its 60 Minutes interview with Trump that demonstrated the station's capitulation to Trump under the Ellisons.
