After listening to most of and watching some of Obama's press conference today,it appeared to me that he looked tired, uninterested and even upset at times, and found it difficult to stay focused.

His also had an unusual cadence in his delivery -- an exaggerated Captain Kirk rhythm more so than his normal. I also got the impression that he might have been ill. I guess Presidents do get ill and/or have bad days too. (I didn't even mention the teleprompter.)

Before all you liberals go nuts. I want our President - the leader of the free world to look good -- be respected for his decisions and how he presents himself -- no matter what party he represents.

My gut feeling is that he is overwhelmed and doesn't know what to do about the current economic crisis. He doesn't seem to be able to offer any ideas except taxes for the rich and more spending.

Going through the motions without your heart in it can't last long.

We need a leader now more than ever. A leader who believes in capitalism and the strength and power of the American people.

This is the silliest charge I've ever heard against him. "Captain Kirk" cadance, really?
(I didn't even mention the teleprompter.)

You should be happy, he didn't use it. What's the problem? When he does you people go haywire.

Sorry to disappoint, but he isn't "sick" or any such nonesense and get used to the fact he will be around untill at least 2012.

Oh my God, you're right. It's all about appearance. Impeach him because he didn't "look good". He had "an exaggerated Captain Kirk rhythm" to his delivery.

We need George W Bush and his deer-in-the-headlight look when America is under attack. And we need Reagan back standing there dumbfounded staring at the cameras as baby Nancy whispers to him what to say.

This is one of the most ridiculous thread topics yet. It's something justapixel would come up with.

He did use the teleprompter -- it was in the back of the room. I'm not sure how he did use it though -- maybe for just the introductions.

You need to listen to Captain Kirk and then Obama today -- you'd be surprised.

First, I'd like to thank Bob for his pixelacious response.

Obama did look tired. But considering the sheer idiocy of what he's had to deal with, that doesn't surprise me. Regardless of how effective the mangled versions of his policies that have come through Congress have been, he's got morons misrepresenting everything he's done and some he hasn't.

My guess is that what's worn him out is trying to be too nice: in the Gulf, he should have told the oil companies what was going to happen, not "worked with them"; and the same on some of the legislation he's favored.

Then we have an idiot who wants to emulate Hitler and the Inquisition....

You have to admit the guy was very uncomfortable today. Maybe you didn't watch or hear it.

Let's stop with the comparisons and just talk about the topic.

He. has. cap. tain. kirk. down. per. fect. ly.

LMAO! No kidding. OMG! Obama looks sick and tired of Foxpublicans barfing hateful bile everywhere and on anyone who pauses to listen to them for more than 2 seconds. Yes, the President is losing patience with children like the cunt Palin™, Orange-man Boehnber, or Turtle Mitch™ and rolling his eyes at them and their ridiculous, made up, faux outrage. Yes, he's a bit frustrated that Foxpublicans have done everything in their power to actively fuck the USA in the ass with a thousand tiny pricks during the worst economic disaster the US has seen in 80 years, because of the very policies these tiny pricks enacted and expanded since 1980. The country has become mired in the shit, and Foxpublicans don't care and have no ideas, no plans, nor support anything the Democrats have been trying to do to get the country back on track.

Frankly, biblical Job has nothing on Obama and having to be long-suffering with the cancer known as the Foxpublican party. The current raft of hateful dipshits, are destroying the USA from within far faster than the Communists tried to do in the 1950's / 1960s.

For. All. The. Progress. We've. Made. We're. Not. There. Yet.

McConnell looks like a walrus, not a turtle.

And if Iman was here, he'd call you a wife-beater and a misogynist for saying cunt.

I notice you didn't bother to talk about the tax cuts he proffered. Or any other topic of import regarding the American people. But hey you voted for, loved, and worshipped this asshat:

Kuli dear, I'm tired too. Tired of all these Obama haters picking away at absolutely everything he does. Hey still sick the cock of W who started two wars, ran the economy into the ground, lied, tortured and they still worship him like a God. These people never gave him a chance from the start and it Obama appears tired I understand. Bush ran everything into the ground and made a complete mess and it's a lot of work cleaning up Republican fuck-ups.

But your comparison to Pixie was funny. He's my hunny bunny. My funny hunny bunny.

How dare you say that ole Jack never gave Obama a chance. Jack waited for 14 whole days (14 days! That's an eon!) after Obama was sworn in before making his first thread ever on any subject in his 6 years on JUB, before launching his endless anti-Obamaness.

Yes, he was so righteously indignated over Obama's response to the Washington DC snowstorm. Lest you forgot here it is:

Is the Ice Storm Obama's Katrina

This shit writes itself.   And yet they expect to be taken seriously? LMAO!

I stand corrected Mr. Rock III...... Jack did indeed wait 14 days (that's 335 hours and 20,160 minutes!) until he started whining about the newly elected President Obama. That was pretty thoughtless of me.

And why the Fuck wasn't Obama out there during the ice storm stringing up the fallen wires? Impeach!

Tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts!

Thanks Kuli -- that was my point -- he looked bored, almost like he wanted to be somewhere else.

I thought of another word -- PASSION. I didn't see any passion in his voice or actions. That's what gave me the impression that he may be burnt out. It's not an easy job.

Here's a book that a some of our JUBBERS should read.

Obama had a super majority in both parties -- he could have done anything he wanted.

This thread is not about bashing other people and not about bashing Obama -- my question was whether he was burnt out.

From your response I would assume that you think he is because he has trouble with the stress from the loyal opposition.

Remember the plaque on Harry Truman's desk -- "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen"

I was hard on Obama. You evidently don't remember the horrible trashing that Bush endured for eight years and still continues.

Now, we are supposed to accept Obama without any questions. Full acceptance in your mind, suppose. I didn't agree with everything Bush did. However, he was a leader.

Asking if the guy is brunt out is whining?

I've got a stake in the success of our country. I care about where we're going.

It's not about politics to me. It's about my country and my life.

Obama has to be a cheer leader for America. Can you agree with that?

disappointing thread Jack.

I tend to think you can give us a real thread about policy...IF you wanted to. You seem like a really intellignet person and why you go along with the "he looks this way, he forgot his flag pin, He plays basketball, his mama was white but he has purple lips" crowd, you seem to be someone that could talk substance and have a real discussion on explaining positions without being offensive.

But you just go to the silly base of the republican well for this kind of idea and for the life of me, I cannot figure out WHY someone would think it would WORK on the average person OR why YOU with seemingly ABOVE average intelligence would not realize you are above it.

I think the corollary to this is:

'Is the right wing burnt out?'

It seems that except for fanning anti-islamic sentiment, flooding the net with criminal illegal aliens and anchor babies threads and making ridiculous and false claims about the carpet in the oval office or his delivery style in a minor speech, they have nothing of positive substance to offer.

A tired leader is still at least a leader. The right doesn't even have a credible voice these days.
