Is it just me, or has the quality of trolling been woefully poor of late?
We understand. He only killed Americans. The "rights" of the immigrant are more important. So what if hundreds of more Americans are killed by his buddies?
^ because they could act
Immediately
I believe in punishment. Do you believe he should be redeemed?
I think he ended the life of four people, he altered those families lives forever and the over 180 injured in his plot. I think that much suffering deserves justice and for me justice is sitting in a prison cell for the next sixty years rotting on the inside.
I stand for the freedom of this country and want nothing but pain for those who would cause harm to my fellow people.
So no not the middle ages. The NOW!
What is it you suggest? He is either going to die in ten years or rot in jail for life. Or if he is lucky he will die in the hospital.
That argument applies to literally ANY criminal above a shoplifter.
What I believe in, is that we live in a civilized age where human dignity is respected in EVERY instance and with NO exceptions. Where justice is more important than vengeance. Because you use the word "justice", but that's not what the tone of your voice implies.
I wish western culture was based on reparative justice rather than punitive. Punishment so easy turns to malice.
Do I need to start reporting your thinly veiled insults again? HUMANS are important. The ones he killed are already dead. He should and WILL be punished. But HOW this punishment is dealt, is ALL that's left in this situation, and it will speak way more about the publishers than about him.
See, unlike you, I don't hate groups of people based on where they're born or what their skin color is.
Except Americans.
You asked for it. I'm tired of groundless accusations of americanophobia and I'm reporting you again.my actions speak louder than your words.
Really ?
Really ?
What does the law say? What have courts decided?

If it is determined that the individual currently in the hospital is indeed the individual who bombed the marathon, then I don't think the requisite characteristics of humanity have been demonstrated that would make him the object of our compassion. It isn't a question of justice vs vengeance, it is a question of containing a tumor-like entity in the way that is most expedient for the rest of us.
He was an American self-directed terrorist. Until active links - beyond instruction in terrorist arts commonly found on the internet - are found to foreign terrorist groups I do not see how he can be classified as an enemy combatant. If we try the enemy combatant thing we open up years of legal wrangling in the courts. Classifying it as criminal or domestic terrorism keeps the process clear and along legally unchallengable lines.
Thumping war axes against our chests serves no purpose.
