Oh, i can say, if Hard4cumshots' reasoning is why some white man don't date black men, its not only racist - it says something about you nd your intellect. Like, that you're not protecting yourself either, and thats why you're so afraid of "us", because you think you'll catch something. I'm annoyed, but not surprised.

Dude don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say I was afraid of black people...I didn't say I wouldn't date/sleep with black men. I was saying from what I remember reading black men had the highest rate of HIV (someone posted the gay/bi levels that white males were, but another poster had posted that among straight men black men were the highest rates).


I've dated/slept with guys regardless of race/ethnicity...i just haven't met a black guy that I click with

So please don't call me a racist, it's rude.

I hate to dredge up an ugly ass thread, but I'd be remiss not to post the CDC statistics on HIV/AIDS regarding Men Who Sleep With Men (MSM). MSM includes all gay and bi American men. The other statistics I posted previously were those for the general population in the U.S.

These stats are exclusively for MSM (gay & bi men). Well, since the intellectually challenged person who started this thread stated that he avoids Asian & Black men like they're HIV+ or have AIDS, it's mandatory that I expose his twisted racist mentality.

According to the CDC stats at the end of '05, White gay/bi men account for 50% of all gay/bi men living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. This basically means that Men of Color are the ones at higher risk of contracting HIV if they sleep with a White gay/bi man. However, here's the race/ethnicity breakdown for gay/bi American men living with HIV/AIDS

If you are going to quote studies, then you really should carefully read it and actually reflect what it's findings were. I find the following in the introductory paragraphs very interesting:

(NOTE: MSM = men who have sex with men)

"Additionally, racial disparities exist with regard to HIV diagnoses within the MSM population. A recent study, conducted in 5 large US cities, found that HIV prevalence among black MSM (46%) was more than twice that among white MSM (21%) [5].

The recent overall increase in HIV diagnoses for MSM, coupled with racial disparities, strongly points to a continued need for appropriate prevention and education services tailored for specific subgroups of MSM, especially those who are members of minority races/ethnicities."

Even the statistics you originally posted don't bear out your conclusion. 32% for blacks is disproportionally high relative to the black population in the US and therefore chance of a MSM black having HIV is higher than a MSM white.
