That men aren't showing as much skin in the media despite the fact that homosexuality has become so much more accepted in today's American society?
After watching the trailer for the new Hercules movie featuring The Rock (I wouldn't mind giving him one where the sun never shines
) I was really shocked to see that unlike most of the other Hercules movies of the 1950s and 1960s, Hercules is shirtless but he's also wearing pants. Way back in the day with the old Steve Reeves Hercules movies, he wore nothing but a loincloth! And not only Hercules, I've noticed that a lot of modern-day superheroes no longer wear their underwear outside their tights like they used to. (and were made famous for) Some don't even wear tights anymore and they go out fighting crime in their street clothes. Not to mention, the whole deal with why men don't wear speedos nowadays. Now, you might be thinking "Oh, not another fucking topic about how America is prudish when it comes to sex, WE GET IT." But haven't you noticed how ironic this whole prudishness thing is? Men were showing a lot more skin way back in a time where homosexuality was deemed an abomination and a mental illness and now that people are becoming more informed of the truth of homosexuality and so many people now accept us for who we are, men have been showing less and less skin.
You see where I'm getting at?
