Interesting. Usually, when we see this message, it's not coming from our forum software, it's coming from Cloudflare, which is the our network provider.

Let's try one thing before I open a ticket. Turn off your VPN and try replying to the message with the VPN off.

I don’t think my VPN is on…. I’m on an iPad, just checked my VPN settings and it says ‘not connected’…… hmmmm :)

:rotflmao: OK putting it THAT way I'll not complain then. It just looks weird, particularly on my avatar, it totally obscures Josh Long's face!
I like the avatar-snow!
But yeah, it nooks better on some avatars than others. .lol.
I uploaded a modified version of the image in mine to very specifically fit the snow...

In this latest post, it is off. When you registered, it was on and that is what is causing some of the issues, I think. You're getting flagged as a spammer because your iCloud VPN is connecting with changing IPs.

The next time you're sending a DM and you get that message, try turning off the VPN and then sending. It will probably work.

Don't you need to have a couple-dozen or so posts before you can send PM's??
I know that used to be the case.

Anyone can reply to a DM.

The anti-spam filtering will eventually turn on the ability to originate a DM conversation. All members can reply to a DM but only established members can send a DM to start a new conversation. That prevents bots from creating accounts and immediately starting to spam our members.

Now we the decorations have apparenty displaced the area where I see notifications (e.g., your post was liked, someone responded to a thread, etc.). This seems to be because I'm using a phone--it might happen with a tablet, too?

I can get around this, since Firefox has a switch to show the desktop version of this site.

I moved your post since Fab just had the same comment.

Are you on an iPhone or Android? We can ask the web programmer to simulate the mobile view and adjust it. It doesn't seem to be a problem for desktop, so it's likely the reformatting that happens horizontally for the phone that is the issue.

Android with Firefox. As mentioned previously, Firefox has an option to show the desktop site, so I have a workaround.

I just checked with DuckDuckGo. It appears to have the same issue.

I do see it now.

This is what it is supposed to look like:
