Its a beautiful story that you are sharing with us Zondal...thank you so much for your up dates and letting us know how things are for you.

Its easy to see why after the initial shock that you parents have embraced you they way you hoped... you're a bright articulate compassionate caring guy...that just shines through enormously here. You deserve the feelings of freedom and acceptance that your swimming in at the moment....the whole and real you is shining like a beacon and its a beautiful sight mate.

The rest of your life awaits you Zondal...and if you carry this infectious happiness with you then you'll be an inspiration to others no matter where you go!

It sounds like they finally accepted that it has been coming for a long time and that there is no point in fighting it any more. As for your friends, give it time. My parents softened up about that after they got used to me being gay.

Thank you for that, it's most appreciated. When the day does come that I take a BF to meet the folks I hope that they can accept him like one of the family? But the way they have been with me, I think they will come around to accepting him quickly. Well, I hope so :)

I saw this yesterday and because your words moved me so deeply; I couldn't reply. Today I still don't know what to say in reply?
After years of hearing put downs and crap, I was stunned by the kindness of your words. This reply is somewhat inadequate and clumsy as to what I am trying to say, so tallguy297, I can only offer you a sincerely felt "Thank you". Reading that meant a hell of a lot and the past forgotten.

I will not be posting on this thread again as my situation has been resolved. I have never felt so "whole" inside or never as happy before. Thank you who have posted and given advise, but that was as nothing compared to your support. It gave me strength to carry this thing through and I am all the better for it :)
