Vivek Ramaswamy was asked about the Iowa shooting in one of his public appearances in Iowa. He rambled on about how we need to avoid "knee jerk gun legislation".

I wish that someone had asked him where the line was on "knee-jerk" now that we're nearly 25 years after the Columbine school shooting. We've had 394 school shootings since Columbine. There were over 360,000 students in those schools- - 22 shootings incidents in US schools just in 2022 alone -with over 400 deaths and close to 1,000 injured in those shootings.

Is the line on "knee jerk" going to be 50 years or 75 years or 100 years? Is the line where it's no longer knee-jerk legislation going to be 500 shooting incidents... 1,000.... 10,000? How many dead kids until we're out of knee-jerk territory.... 500... 1,000... 2,000?

Every time a Republican talks about the border, someone needs to ask them about school shootings. Every time they bring up drugs crossing the border, they need to be asked about the guns being shipped in the other direction from the US into Mexico that is facilitating the drug trafficking coming into the US.

I read he was 17 years old and his FB and such was full of trans stuff. Being 17 is hard when your hormones are going crazy and you have hair growing in weird places. I remember being 17 and it wasn't a lot of fun with weird smells and all the rest. So, I have to assume he was on a shit load of meds, mental and hormones, and he simply fucking flipped out. His brain shorted out, so to say.
I'm not excusing him. Because free will is a thing. I'm accusing his parents and their allowing his various shitty doctors of causing this.

Are you saying that he was on meds for transitioning and that drove him crazy and murderous?

I think the import of the message is that you are expected to provide the citations or sources here when requested...not just to brush it aside and say that if and when you might be interested, you will provide some background.

Just the way this forum works...so that it doesn't become a chamber of wild speculation or unfounded claims.
