It's official, the new Wonder Woman is here

One of my favorite Infinity INC's was the flash back one where as kids, they stole the invisible jet, and Lyta tried on her mother's costume, but she couldn't (yet) fill the boobage area and had trouble with the lasso.

They stole the jet because Hector bubble gummed a piece of Nth metal to a soft ball which went straight up, and they wanted to get it back.

Todd McFarland was drawing then, I believe. Great Artist!

Looking at the picture above, I now feel kind of guilty I didn't put the Earth-2 Version of Wonder Woman in it too... but I guess Hippolyte can fill in for her/that version.

Weren't the JSA ata party or something when that happened? I think I have that one. Or was that from Generations? You read that?

Yeah, I think you're right about the JSA at a party thing - sounds familiar! Or with the President?

I'm relatively certain it happened in Infinity Inc. - I remember holding it, turning pages, and that story has held a special favorite spot for a long time.

It had some hilarious stuff in it.

Generations, and Generations Lost I downloaded.

Here's a couple other 3D's I've made...

LOL, Cathy Lee Crosby. Can you imagine if that movie ruined it for the Lynda Carter series and it never happened? Now a days that would happen. They would scrap any further related projects.

It could STILL happen... I fear that Wonder Woman's fate lays in Adrianne Palicki's hands. If this series fails, it'll probably be the end of any future Wonder Woman attempts on screen - Large and Small.

I think either way this is Wonder Woman's only chance. It took like 35 years just to get to this point.

'Wonder Woman' Pilot Gets a Rewrite, Adds More Butt-Kicking

Remember how bothered fans were (myself included) by David E. Kelley's 'Wonder Woman' pilot script? Well, it's gotten a rewrite!

According to io9, the pages were released in February and March as the pilot filmed. In them, Wonder Woman kicks a lot more butt.

The new script features Adrianne Palicki's WW tossing men around, emphasizing just how much of an Amazon she really is. There have also been some plot tweaks, including flashbacks to Themyscira.

So, just what are the Amazonian tweaks? If the pilot leaks or makes it to series, expect to see Wonder Woman picking up at least two thugs by the throat and even jamming her thumb into one man's eye after he puts a knife to her throat.

At one point she even deals with a very road-ragey man. The two exchange obscene gestures and -- yep, you guessed it -- she ends up picking him up by the throat.

Another scene depicts her kicking a man into the air while on her back.

In the new pilot, audiences also get a little more insight into what makes Wonder Woman tick: vengeance. The pilot opens with a young man, Willis, finding out he's getting into college, but then blood starts pouring out of him. According to io9, viewers weren't going to see Willis again in the Dec. 2010 pilot script, but in this new version Wonder Woman visits him in the hospital. She urges the young man's mother to be there for her kids, and WW will handle the vengeance.

The folks behind 'Wonder Woman' have also added scenes that include Steve Trevor crashing on Themyscira, further insight into Diana and Steve's relationship and Diana speaking with Artemis (who at one point held the Wonder Woman title!).

With the promise of at least three different Wonder Woman costumes and these script tweaks, 'Wonder Woman' doesn't sound as cringe-worthy. While I'm still hesitant about much of the plot (three secret identities!?) and some of the characterization (I hope Wonder Woman doesn't cry herself to sleep at the end of the episode), things are looking up for this pilot.

Damn. I was kinda hyped up to see it. I wonder if it'll ever leak to the internet or dvd?

oh i'm sure it will turn up eventually.

even though i had my misgivings on the project i'm still curious to see the pilot.

So sick of the endless false starts re: Wonder Woman in live action.

Yet there are all manner of crap movies on the big screen and shitty reality programming on TV.

But God forbid we could ever seen Wonder Woman in live action.

Bitter? Yes.

I'm with you there wundersteve! there have been so many male superheroes to hit the big screen, Superman returns, The Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, Batman, The Dark Knight, Green Lantern...etc etc etc, It's about time this amazon is given her proper respect!...JMO.:grrr:

Does anyone know what's happening with the Justice League movie that was slated to come out later this year? Australian model Megan Gale was supposed to play the part of Wonder Woman. What ever happened there?:(

The project was shelved, but there is talk of reviving it as well as having solo movies for most of the team members, the same way Marvel is doing with The Avengers.

This might be the best hope for seeing WW. Kind of like with animated TV, where we never saw a solo WW animated series, but we got to see plenty of her in the Justice League series.

I do think Megan Gale is physically more suitable for the role than Adriane Palicki, but the latter is probably the better actress.

Very true. We can always hope. :)
If they finally do decide to bring WW to the big screen, It would be nice to have Lynda Carter in a cameo part, perhaps playing the role of Queen Hypolitta, sort of passing the torch to the new......just a thought.

But Lynda Carter will always be WW to me. :)

NBC Explains Why They Didn't Pick Up Wonder Woman
NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt explains why the pilot to the Wonder Woman TV show wasn't picked up, and also shares what he thought of releasing early pictures of the costume...

In a recent interview, Robert Greenblatt - chairman of NBC Entertainment - discusses the reasons why the pilot for the planned Wonder Woman TV reboot starring Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman. He praised the pilot for what it was, but claimed that it wouldn't fit with their current schedule. He also shares his thoughts on the early pictures released with Palicki in the suit.

On how the pilot wouldn't fit with their current schedule, and what he thought of the pilot overall...
“I hate to disappoint anybody. I know there are legions of fans of the original show. I don’t know if it’s cursed or what. I just have this one experience. They made a really fine pilot and Adrianne Palicki did a fantastic job. You look at what you have, what you need, and it just didn’t seem to fit in with what we were doing.
“We did what was best for the schedule. It does give one pause. You’re almost damned if you and damned if you don’t. It’s tricky.”

On what he thought of the early release of pictures of the costume...

“I was surprised there was such an uproar. But that didn’t have anything to do with whether the show got picked up. I love that it got so much attention. All that engagement from people whether it was positive or negative was good. And she did ultimately have these little hot pants…”
