Now I know all you non-smokers are going to say something along the lines of 'hallelujah'!
I know all about the negatives of smoking...been doing it a long time.
My nearly 80 year old father lives with me. He's always maintained that he would never become one of those 'obnoxious' ex-smokers, and let it be known that it was okay to smoke around him.
In the past year, his health has declined, including certain respiratory ailments.
After a visit to the doctor today, he was informed that his home (and mine) need to be smoke-free.
I have no issue with accommodating my father's needs and adjusting my habits, but I have to admit, this "going outside" to smoke thing sucks!

, because I actually could go to some places I liked, again. There have been a few times over the last several years where I've forced myself to stay in a club for a show or sit at one of my fave bars with friends way past the point where I was comfortable, and then ended up seriously ill with a two-week sinus infection.
