I found them at FreshCo this morning, in a bin near one of the check-out counters. You know, where they put 'impulse buy' stuff. I was impulsed to buy: 1 original and 1 chewy caramel. They were expensive - $3.49 per package of 11, but I've been wanting to try a Tim Tam Slam since I hear about them.

All I can say is, if I had discovered them 20 years ago, I would be penniless and weigh a tonne.

They're head-spinningly sweet, but oh so delicious. (Gives a nice chocolatey flavour to what's left of the tea as well.) ..|

Well done, Australia! Well done!! :=D:

I remember seeing those things being demonstrated on telly by Kylie Minogue, no less. They don't seem to have reached Poor Old Mother England yet.

^ I've never seen that version and I can't find it on YouTube. This is the how-to clip I always use:

^ They're Australian biscuits:

LOL. They come in different flavours thou! They're not cheap in here as well. Fucking $3 or $4 for one packet.

Ahhhhh Tim Tams, my favourite biccie of all time (especially the double choc ones!) ...

Glad you've discovered them, Neil! ..|

You can do the same thing with Penguins (which is where the Aussies nicked the idea for the biscuit from). :)

I have tried Penguins when I was in London but its just not the same lol, so I will be bringing a few packs of Tim Tams when I go back next year, as well as a big jar of Vegemite :)

looking at this made me think about head for some reason. #-o

and i was thinking that "tim tam slammed" was the new version of "wham bam thank you ma'am" or "greet, meet, beat, skeet then delete" all this time. #-o ignant has no bounds.

GSDX

you could bake better cookies.

Tim Tams are even legendary in Australia. They are the best, most indulgent biscuits ever. Pure heaven.

Double Coat 4 Lyfe!

I try to only eat these things once or twice a year. There's so much sugar and because I have no self-control I eat the whole pack in one go! They seem to come on sale for $2 a pack fairly regularly around these parts - so tempting.

I've never done the "slam" thing; I go more Cookie Monster style, numnumnumnumnum.
