Kuli, I haven't set up a race before, though that ^ one sounds like it would be fun.

I would bet that someone who works at a local bike shop would know more about setting it up.

First we have to get NfP status, then get on the State Parks' list of recognized organizations, and then we can talk to the county Commissioners and Parks dept. At this point I'm just fishing for an idea of how hard it might be to organize such a thing.

Some bikers might not like the idea of sections where there'd be no choice but to get off and push or carry, but that's the only way over the main dunes!

So far it's just a wish/dream, but there are already 3 government bureaucracies involved. #-o
