Jan "High School Diploma" Brewer's Complete Disrespect of President Obama

Jared Loughner is a sick man who acted on his own from his own paranoia of being schizophrenic. He did not find inspiration from Sarah Palin to murder those people and nearly kill Giffords.

^ And how in the world would you know what was in Loughner's head on that horrible day ?

Perhaps that image contributed to his motivation, perhaps he never saw it in the first place.

Either way, don't speak in absolutes when there aren't any.

Don't get me wrong, I think Palin gives the word "cunt" a bad name, and it IS very telling that she snatched (sorry) that "ad" down from her FB page post haste, but I'm tired of all of her supporters, including McCain, trying to spin it by telling us that cross hairs are used all the time in political ads and it was just a "coincidence" that congress members that had already been "taken out" were represented in blood red colors.

Ain't buyin' it ; never will....

^ I don't know what was in his head, and neither do you to assume she inspired him. But extensive investigation into his life by authorities shows no fascination over Republican ideologies of paranoia fixated on Democrats. He was, however, obsessed with his own ramblings and musings of his own psychosis. He was crazy. That's all.

If Palin did not use firearm rhetoric to get her agenda across, do you think Loughner would still have searched out where Giffords was and shot those people? If Palin used rhetoric like "get out and vote" and used imagery of a voting booth, would those people be alive today? I believe they would.

After the shooting they were spinning this tragedy as those were images of surveyor crosses, not crosshairs. A complete and utter lie. Of course, after the shootings she took down the images and pulled her tweet. This shouldn't have been posted in the first place. Even the insinuation of violence should not be tolerated.

And now she's strangely silent politically, After she milked the ignorant with her" will she run? Send me donations." campaign she's down in her Phoenix mansion count her money and plotting what to do next for some fast cash.

Did Palin's rhetoric influence Loughner? Sometimes crazy is an excuse enough. However something she said or her graphic could have dripped down into his brain and influenced him. He latched onto something Palin said and ran with it.

But it doesn't matter because of the hyper charged violence rhetoric, that influences people who are on the edge. When you put targets over people and name them and say you have to take a stand against them... when you say .... Don't Retreat, Reload..... that influences people. Unstable people latch onto that shit.

The big thing is... Palin ran away from this....she took down the graphic and removed the tweet before we even knew who this guy was. What does that tell you? It tells you that she KNEW this was a wrong thing to say. The wrong thing to project. She once defended her imagery, she once thought it was appropriate but when it actually it happened she disowned it.

That says to me that she thought she may have been responsible. And she is.

Dude, you are way out there. You need to wake up to reality.

Do you think Palin had something to do with the assassination of the Kennedy's too? or maybe it was Abraham Lincoln.

I disagree with you, Cowboybob. You are confusing shame over volatile partisanship with direct responsibility. Just because Sarah Palin's staff tried to hide away that image of the cross-hairs and make excuses for it, it doesn't mean they were responsible for what happened.

The real lesson learned is that politics should never lower itself so low in partisanship as to use metaphors of guns and violence as a means to defeat the opposition. For when an actual event does occur where some random, crazy person shoots somebody in government, it suddenly makes such references very inappropriate and foolish. That's what happened to Sarah Palin. She was made into a fool for some of the things she said. If anything, this was the event that probably took her out of the running for president.

However, she was not responsible for what happened. Her staff was not involved in a conspiracy of hiding evidence. Jared Loehner was a deranged schizophrenic who acted on his own, and Sarah Palin has and always will be a fool. That's it.

I think this is right to a large degree. We have absolutely no evidence that Loughner was inspired by anything other than his own demented mind. We can't say with a degree of certainty what he did and did not see, so it's irrelevant.

Would it be nice is politicians didn't use images that involved cross hairs? Yes, it would.

Now this makes zero sense coming from one who thinks Gingrich will "trounce Obama with his wisdom and intellect".

Go back to bed Springer.

Since, as has been established on previous threads, there is no evidence whatsoever that the shooter knew anything about Palin and her crosshairs -- yes, he would have done the shooting anyway. The evidence is that he hated Giffords for some reasons lurking in his own skull.

After the shooting they were spinning this tragedy as those were images of surveyor crosses, not crosshairs. A complete and utter lie. Anti First Amendment rhetoric, this. Who's to determine what insinuates violence?

They took them down and pulled them because of all the noise about them -- the removal does not imply connection.

And now she's strangely silent politically, After she milked the ignorant with her" will she run? Send me donations." campaign she's down in her Phoenix mansion count her money and plotting what to do next for some fast cash.

Nothing strange about it: the simpler explanation is that once she said she wasn't running the people with the money told her to shut up and sit down and not be a distraction -- they may have put it in hunting terms, to get through to her.

Nice theoretical stuff. But connecting Palin to the shooter that way is nothing but conjecture. Making it a conclusion is conspiracy-theory thinking: "because it looks like it connects it connects".

The big thing is... Palin ran away from this....she took down the graphic and removed the tweet before we even knew who this guy was. What does that tell you? That says to me that she thought she may have been responsible. And she is.

It tells me the people she milks for money gave her orders, and she jumped. To make it a connection to the shooter is irrational.

Well said. :=D:

From now on everyone should use these:
