Jersey City/ New York City 2013

I don't know if anyone will care, but I've just realized that the Hoboken Art and Music Festival is Sunday, September 29, 2013.

It's a street fair with street fair stuff (funnel cake and zeppoles, fresh lemonade, booths for local restaurants), a craft fair with craft-fair stuff (handmade windchimes, wood chotchkes, paintings ranging from sublime to really awful), and a 3-stage music fair with quite a number of bands and music acts (The Feelies, Speed the Plough, The NERDS).

It attracts a lot of young people because of the bands, and sometimes there are hunky young guys on parade. No promises though. :-)

Info and schedules.

Can I see some and make a 2:30 out of LGA?

I'll be there for all day Saturday - probably even in time for breakfast! If you're eating around 8:30 in the morning. After the day, I'm going to be Cinderella and leave on the midnight train. (Not to Georgia.)

OH.

MY.

GOD.

This is, SOOOOO, my kind of thing!!! it actually conflicts with something I want to do in Manhattan at 3 and, of course, Hoboken is easy access to Manhattan. Sunday suddenly looks crazy busy, and way cool.

Hmm. They probably want you there by 1:30 for a 2:30 flight, right? ...it'd be tough. I'm not sure how long it takes to get to LGA from Hoboken (I fly out of EWR when I fly), and the fair starts at 11:00 or so (music acts not til later), but I just don't know. If you're taking a cab to LGA you could ask the cab company (you should definitely reserve in advance if that's what you're doing), but that would still leave the problem of what to do with your luggage, unless you're staying in Hoboken.

So where are the pictures, you attendees? The ones that can go up here, I mean.

I know we never had the "posting photos to JUB" seminar we discussed. Hope that's not why.

The photos are in the hot topics stickied one.... I may just do a spin off thread of my picture taking in New York in general, too. Probably add a couple more to the main one before that, however.
