I should also add that I agree with most things the green party stand for. But I live in reality. We can't always get everything we want. We have to compromise.

As a Canadian, my head is very free of my ass and very clear, but I simply cannot understand how someone who gets more votes in an election loses to the guy who fewer people voted for. And it's happened before. It doesn't seem very democratic when the loser wins the race.

Actually, the jury scenario is even more extreme. If 11 vote guilty and 1 votes not guilty, it's considered a "hung jury" or a mistrial, and the killer walks...it has to be unanimous. (How do jury votes work in Canada?)
