What was amusing was that Hillary Clinton supporters chastised Donald Trump for failing to accept the election results if he would lose, but it is the Hillary supporters who are the ones doing just that. Hypocritical much?

There was always going to be a recount. I started a thread on it two days after the election. But get this, who do you think is really behind the recount? Yup. Soros. But some people either just don't get it, or refuse to believe it. Shillary is a Crook with a capital C.

Interesting. I can't find anything that says electors can't vote just because their state count isn't finalized, any more than (constitutionally) they have to vote the way their state's popular vote went. Some states' laws require them to vote according to the way the state apportions its electoral votes, some don't. In Michigan, state law says not following the state's results cancels the vote and the Elector is replaced; in Pennsylvania, apparently there is no law on the matter; in Wisconsin, state law requires them to vote according to the state's results, but there is no penalty stated.

So if there were no results by the official Electoral College date, the Electors from Michigan and Wisconsin would presumably, if they followed state law, be required to withhold their vote because the state would have no official results, leaving 26 votes as effective abstentions. The Pennsylvania electors, though, would be free to vote as they pleased, leaving 20 votes as effective wild cards. At that point the outcome would be in the hands of those twenty electors from Pennsylvania: if they went for Trump, he would still win, while if they went for Clinton there would be no winner.

Interestingly, at that point the "Hamiltonians" would need only eleven Electors to defect from Trump to guarantee that the election went to the House of Representatives, so I suspect that they are cheering on the recount effort, just wanting it to be slow.

At that point the game is wide open. If I were writing this as a novel, the Republicans in the House would then choose Susan Collins as President, just to guarantee that the first female president was a Republican.

Some of these Bernie plants on the Internet....they had me convinced ALMOST until I went to Santa Cruz which is Bernie Central and was expecting them to gloat and say I told you so based on what I saw on the Internet...but the exact opposite was true. They all voted for Clinton..happily...and that further confirmed my suspicions. You would have to understand how progressive these guys are to understand why I questioned the results...and why I think this is a false narrative.....real progressives voted for the person who would further their interests even if they had to plug their nose to do it. Trump plants and anarchists...not so much....

The only good thing for me...I was kinda happy he won so I didn't have to hear the Hillary hate and conspiracy bullshit for another four years...I am tired. It is ugly and mostly untrue...it is like listening to right wing Christians 24/7 drone on about sins and hell...UGH....and when I would rather listen to the Christians than the Hillary haters...I know I have truly had enough.

Yes, let's blame the Russian boogeyman. Only reason the Russians came up was because the Hillary campaign tried desperately to take the focus off the actual content of the Wikileaks emails and tried to sway the attention towards the party that did the hacking. That approach didn't work with folks because they were more concerned with the content of the emails as opposed to who was responsible ... and rightfully so. And I have to say the media, DNC, and Clinton campaign tried desperately to divert the attention away.

It appears you are taking a page out of their playbook and continuing to beat that drum.

Did you every think that maybe too many Dems were oversampled in the polling or perhaps a number of Dems were upset at the Primaries and were back and forth between Clinton/Trump ... and either decided to vote for another party besides Hillary ... or even sat home?

Sure, there were Sanders' supporters that wound up voting for Hillary. However, it's clear that enough of them either did not and voted for someone else ... or decided to sit at home.

If you are implying the Russians were responsible for hijacking this election and stole the election from Hillary ... get out the tinfoil hats. Hillary and Obama would have been all over that, if this was even remotely the case.

Not many states will do a second recount -- you probably have to go to court and prove that the first one was fraudulent. By then, it would be over.
 
Liberals are sure that Russians hacked the election, but the are equally sure that the Russians would never do such a thing as read Hillarys thousands of illegal emails. Oh! the hypocrisy.

Lol---It's been on the news that the Russians came up with lying news stories about Hillary---most of which most of the morons on this and Facebook believed 100%----Obama is quietly investigating this now----If they hacked the voting booths that would be a national security threat----that we will never know the full story.
 
The Russians mainly think that we are a lost country---with a rigged system---it's working for Putin --it's like if you think Russian elections are bad look at great AMerica. It's worse---so you are lucky to be in Russia. They created the fake news stories---hundreds of them including that Hillary was dying ---all of this is fact---not Trump reading insane and then tweeting from the most stupid crazy right wing rag fake news stories---make Batboy look normal. Yes, it was all the Russians' fault. Again, if you think the Russians are the reason Hillary lost the election, I have some beachfront property in Tulsa, OK I would love to sell you.

Folks had their minds made up about Hillary long ago. The warning signs were there of her unfavorability rating even before the Primaries. The DNC chose to ignore all of this and nominate her. And they paid the price for not listening.

Please show me some of these alleged news stories from the Russians that you felt was responsible for tilting the election to Trump. I swear, the CNN's and MSNBC's of the world are becoming the FOX News for the Left to the point of putting garbage out to their viewers. Remember all of the criticism we have of FOX News viewers and that they lap up everything FOX spews? Well, it goes both ways. It's sad.

Hillary lost because she is Hillary and outside of her diehard supporters, people view her as being corrupt and in bed with the banking industry, feel she believes she is above the law, they view her as being a warhawk, is out for power as evidenced by sticking by her husband while he carried out his affairs in the White House, and do not like or trust her. It really is that simple. That is why she lost the election. Instead, the DNC and her diehard supporters were too busy ignoring all of that, covering their ears, and saying "La la la ... First Woman President ... La la la."
