I don't know anything about bone simulators. Is that maybe something that is available at a physical therapy department/clinic to use onsite or as a loaner/rent?

ShadowCat: Some thoughts.
- You might want to start taking a Vitamin D supplement daily. It seems to help with bone healing. You can take up to 5,000 IUs per day. In my own case (for a different condition) it also seems to help with pain.
- Try not to take any anti-inflammatory drugs like Advil or Aleve. Inflammation is part of the body's way of healing itself, so you may not want to suppress it. Tylenol or Tylenol with Codeine is OK.
- Does your insurance allow you to see an Orthopedic Surgeon that specializes in foot and ankle problems? You're smart for avoiding surgery if possible but if you do have to have it, an Orthopedic Surgeon is probably better trained to perform it. I'm not bashing podiatrists but I tend to think of them in the same way as chiropractors (i.e., there are some very good ones and there are some not so good ones). Personally I wouldn't let a DPM operate on my feet.

I am to still wear the boot and use my scooter I go for a recheck in 3 weeks! There is still a divet/chip close to the edge of my foot but its filling in its just filling in fron the inside of my foot towards the outside! So this is fabulous news and am beyond thrilled!I don't know anything about bone simulators. I'm to still wear my gym shoes in the house and won't be in sandals this summer, But I evaded surgery and healed with clean margins no complications! I still have a chip and he is unsure if it will ever fill back in, but I am off the scooter out of the walking boot and THRILLED!!!! I can also start lightly exercising nothing too strenuous he said walking is good (course my area is getting dicey) but also elliptical (dont have one) but he said stationary biking would be good as well as using my total gym I just bought, I can't do squats or lunges right now or anything that is going to put undue stress like jumping jacks or plyometrics (whatever those are) but I can start on that now! Of course I need to trim some fat first gained 6 pounds
but I'm going to be starting on that journey soon!Congratulations.
Glad to gear!ShadowCat said:Ok this is it girls! I'm healed up!!!!

So sorry I thought I did. No THANK GOD! It would have been a one and done thing and it would have been at least $3,500.00-10,000.00!!! And the bitch of it is there is no possible way to re sell it and no way to donate it, as the assholes that manufacture the fucking things have a satellite switch in them and after your term is up they remotely shut off the device! So if you ever broke a bone again you'd be buying another one!
By "term" are you referring to the length of time you are suppose to use the device for recovery? I thought that was NOT legal to do in the U.S. anymore. Maybe there is a medical exception.
