Well World, Essendon (Bombers) got the biggest thumping at Moron Park by the Adelaide Crows imaginable. The Dons have lost nine on the trot, this has not happened since 1934 - 72 friggin years ago!

Crows won by 138 points - 23 goals!! It was an awful game, very one sided obviously so very boring.

Couple more pearlers from Denis Cometti though Courtney Johns' kicking is leaving a lot to be desired, comment by Cometti "He is kicking like Courtney Love".

If you are an Aussie and watched the AFL Footy Show tonight they had (rightfully) #5 for THE PIES as king. Rightfully so too.

As I understand things, the correct and proper name of the Western Bulldogs is the Footscray Football Club and the AFL licence for the club is held in that name. I was just being proper! (But then, what would I know? I am Croynan's cousin, 43 times removed>)

Footscray FC officially changed its name to the Western Bulldogs before the start of the 1997 season. Don't know whether the AFL licence is still under the old name. ..|

Hey, I could be wrong about the Western Bulldogs - I just remember the matter of the name of Footscray being discussed at a match I went to last year. (The Footscray bit was a little before my time!) I think the Brisbane Lions play under the old Brisbane Bears licence. If you note the initials at the top of the back of a Lions guernsey, they are BBFFC, although I don't know what the two "Fs" stand for.
