The extent of my knowledge about her personal life was that at one point during the height of her career she was dating some fugly guy who had Howard Stern hair.

My brother is married with child, and lives about fifteen minutes away. I see him (or them) maybe once every two months or so. Not a bad relationship, but we just don't have much common ground. He enjoys coming to my shows, though, so we get to chat a bit there.

My sister lives in Portland, married, no kids. Somewhat closer to her. We call and chat about once a month.

I enjoy Julia as an actress... I don't much care about her personal life. Same with Tom Cruise.

As far as siblings... I'm an only child. I get along with those that aren't there just fine.

Same here. Love both Julia & Tom as actors. Don't care about the latter's personal life at all while Julia's I had no idea before today.

I have a younger brother - 18. It's a typical relationship perhaps - we fight with each other but in the end we know we love each other.

no man has been named the most SEXIEST man on the planet more than twice - the list includes Brad Pitt - George Clooney - Richard Gere - and for some reason beyond my comprehension Johnny Depp....

only 2 men have ever been named the most BEAUTIFUL person on the planet - that is Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson - it is noteworthy to add that both Gibson and Cruise has also been named SEXIEST one year each...

there are only 2 women that have ever won most BEAUTIFUL person TWICE which is Jennifer Aniston and Michelle Pfeiffer

and then there is Julia Roberts who has been named most BEAUTIFUL person FIVE TIMES

She's (Roberts) a lovely woman, but hardly the "MOST BEAUTIFUL In The World." She DOES, however, have a quite charming personality, so I can understand why they picked her. Shoot, I might've picked her for subjective reasons, but objectively???? No, although many of the younger actresses' "beauty" is just makeup and dresses and less sheer beauty and personality.

Who would y'all have picked for that honorific?

I'm pretty sure the judges who pick the "winners" are females. I've yet to see a male winner who I find attractive (like I said in a different thread, gals and gay guys have a very different taste in men), and mcbrion hit the nail on the head with the female winners; "she's eloquent and beautiful on the inside." If dudes were given the task of choosing the "sexiest woman alive" they would most likely go with a twenty-something year old who walks around in sultry outfits, and wearing pounds of make-up.

Though Julia is beautiful, I consider Natalie Portman and Audrey Hepburn (back in her day) both more beautiful than Julia.
Just my opinion.
