I was just thinking. Were would we be today if Trump had never been elected president?
Would there be all the anti-vaxx anti-mask chaos that we're dealing with? Would there be all the airline violence? Would there be all the street protest violence. Would there be people drinking bleach and chowing down on Ivermectin? Would the future of the United States be in jeopardy?
Here in Canada, our Conservatives have become more and more like Republicans these past few years. A few have even called themselves Republicans. Ontario's premier, Doug Ford, was elected after Trump and was a Trump wannabe. Alberta's premier, Jason Kennedy, has been running the province like Rick DeSantis runs Florida. Covid is rampant, the Alberta health care system is near complete collapse, and his popularity ratings dropped lower than Trump's in a matter of a week or two. (Alberta is a Conservative province.) Anti-vaxx anti-mask protesters have been blocking entry into hospitals and blocking traffic. Our politicians have been threatened and Prime Minister Trudeau and those around him were pelted with gravel.
There is no question in my mind that Donald Trump is directly responsible for what is going on in both Canada and the United States.
