I'm guessing the steam trains you've posted are some sort of tourist draw, nostalgia run or something like that. Or are there still steamers in active use in South Africa?

wit_afrika/buzzj: In the late 70s I was on a boat that docked in the Cape Town harbor. I recall a slew of working steam locomotives all over the harbor area. My friend made a "I LOVE TRAINS" sign that he held aloft as we walked each day from the pier, across the train tracks, to the city center.
Judging by the pictures you have posted of the CT harbor much has changed since my visit.
Wow! All those skyscrapers--- then it appears that within just a few miles of them you're out in the countryside again! Beautiful picture!I think it's about time you gave us another visit

Supposedly the "World's Largest Egg" in Winlock, Washington. That's where I grew up... and I had to pass that thing every day to get to school. They have it all painted in the colors of the American flag now though.

Taken from the top floor of the building I work in. I am so in love with where I live and work on days like today when I see such awesome beauty.
