Well that is a piss off when there is a gap of almost 5 months in this thread.
 
retail cash register receipts that are longer than one's inseam; and, the receipt information only takes up 4 inches (i.e. items purchased, price of said items, sub-total, tax when appropriate and grand total). Anything else is a waste of paper

And I just found out that they are not recyclable. Our local center is asking we make sure that we throw them in the trash, they have had loads rejected from the paper plant for just having a few receipts. It then cost much more than the price they would have gotten for the paper.

Interesting, nothing about that appears anywhere in the detailed paperwork (describing exactly what is and isn't recyclable) that is available from the City [Chicago]. Or at least that was true about 15 months ago.

Thermal cash register receipts are not recyclable, because they contain bisphenol A (BPA). It gets tangled into the paper pulp and contaminates the recycled products. Regular paper receipts are okay to recycle.

Thanks for that. Is there an easy way to identify thermal paper? I've been recycling store receipts for years. I wasn't aware of any problems.
 
So I went to the store to buy a new ruler. I get home, start my drawing and... the new ruler is fucking crooked!!! 😡
 
So yesterday i hung new kitchen cabinets and lugged an old frige up stairs all by myself. I nearly died, and today I ache. My fella? He was at the salon getting a pedi 😡.
