The past 12 hours have been on thing after another! First, during the 5am hour at my store, our cash office clerk comes and gets the other overnight cashier to radio me over my walkie (we all have walkies, so that when the need arises, we can talk to each other without having to walk all over the building to find each other).
Other cashier >> "Joseph, 'Denise' says the money in the self-checkouts wasn't pulled, last night."
Me >>
"WHUT?!?!"
Now, the assistant manager steps in, because that's several thousand dollars worth of money that's now screwed up, and unaccounted for. Thankfully, I was down the cereal aisle, and had absolutely nothing to do with closing down the front-end, last night.
They had found it - poor 'Denise' had just misplaced the register readings in her paperwork.
But thank you very much for the blood pressure spikes. We all needed that so much. /facepalm...
Then getting off, thanks to the crack drivers of good ol' DART, our [strike]beyond overpriced[/strike] public bus and train service here in Big D, they took forever at one stop that we ran late back to the bus transfer station for me to transfer onto the first bus home at 7.20am. So I wait for the 7.40am bus. 7.45 rolls around, still no bus driver. As I weigh time, I have to be back at college at 9.30, so I decide that I don't have time enough to stick to the original plan - take the bus back to my friends' apartment, fulfill my housekeeping responsibilities, be back on the bus by 8.30, make the bus station by 9am, and my school by 9.30 for my appointment I had with a therapist I'm seeing at my school before my class. So I got off the bus headed for my friend's apartment, and saw the bus driver finally get through chatting it up with his coworkers, while he should have already left, and his bus is by this time, 4 minutes late. I waited at the bus station, and took the 8am bus to my school. I ate Subway for breakfast, and everything, but I now had to wait until I got back from my algebra class to take care of housekeeping, which forced me to lose an extra hour of sleep. I just got in. But the whole fiasco could have been prevented if these bitch-ass bus drivers would be on time and actually do their jobs.
You're not the only ones with a damn schedule to keep! Quit running yer yap, and do your job, please!
