There once was an ice skater named Scealle...
who got frost bite on the end of his peel...
He put on some heat, and jumped to his feet,
and his head started to reel.

I am really tempted to start my own thread on this but are gay men the most flakey men on the planet?

Oh my darling, oh my dear... the answer you seek is in the mirror.

I'm an accountant and an auditor at that. I am in one of the most anti-flakey occupations ever. Fuck, I am stressed out that I found some $176k in unappropriated funds hidden in a contra-account and don't know WTF to do with them as there is no corresponding asset(s). There was no engineering team in today and making calls/emails/texts to the head was futile. Already reported him to HR for failure to respond. The fact that I can "tag" emails and he clearly read the one I sent and did not respond shows failure on his part. That's the downside to management: just because you are not at work, doesn't mean you are not "working". The downside to being salaried.

Just that I've been damn horny this weekend, and don't have anybody to horny with right now. First world problems, as usual. :)

Problem solved. ..|

I can't even click on that "man cut his balls off" thread. The title alone gives me palpable pain.

At one point, these were the three most-recently-added-to threads in Hot Topics.

I left my apartment door open last night
Man cuts his own balls off!
This seems a bit extreme

I actually toyed with the idea of making a thread titled "What threads currently up in Hot Topics could be a gay porn title?"

I will now forever read the thread titles in Hot Topics with a pornographic connotation. Thanks, Shark-san. :?

99.7% of the time, I honestly don't give a good goddamn about professional sports of any kind. I've seen an endless number of examples of corruption and worse (Penn State, steroids in baseball, Lance Armstrong, etc.) that, it's just something I don't at all care for.

But, I hope beyond hope that Dallas-Fort Worth DOES NOT get another super bowl.

Major seating issues. Courtesy of Wikipedia...

Cowboys Stadium installed 15,000 temporary seats and utilized its standing room to increase its capacity to over 105,000 fans. If the stadium had been filled to capacity (its record for an NFL game is 105,121 spectators), it would have set a record for Super Bowl attendance, breaking the previous record of 103,985 fans for Super Bowl XIV in the Rose Bowl; however the actual attendance of 103,219 fell 766 fans short. League officials had indicated that they would also count spectators watching the game on large television screens from outside the stadium in the tally, which generally is not allowed in official attendance counts.

Due to numerous delays, 1,250 temporary seats weren't ready in time for the game. According to a police officer standing near the affected area, the seats hadn't been installed in time for the fire marshal to inspect them. The NFL scrambled almost until kickoff to find replacement seats. Eventually, 850 fans in four sections were relocated, while 400 fans in two sections were given a refund equivalent to three times the face value of their ticket. The latter set of fans were later offered the chance to watch the game on monitors in the North Field Club behind the Steelers bench, but would still get the triple refund. Some of these fans were still upset, since they had spent thousands on airfare and hotels. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said that when the league decided to relocate the 850 fans, it lost any shot of setting the attendance record.

The NFL subsequently offered affected fans a ticket to the next Super Bowl in addition to the refund. It also offered fans the option of a ticket to any future Super Bowl, along with round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations. However, this wasn't enough to mollify several fans, who on February 9 filed a $5 million class-action lawsuit against the NFL, the (Dallas) Cowboys (whose stadium hosted) and (Cowboys team owner Jerry) Jones. In addition to Steelers and Packers fans left without seats, the suit includes Cowboys fans who paid $100,000 for personal seat licenses, only to have to watch the Super Bowl in metal folding chairs without a view of the stadium's giant video replay board. The NFL at first offered $2,400 to fans who did not receive a replacement seat, but later offered tickets to a future Super Bowl with airfare and hotels included.

And, for those who aren't familiar - the seat licenses? Yes, you have to pay for the privilege of being able to buy a ticket. :rotflmao:

Plus, all those people who had to stand outside, had to stand outside in bad weather. That night, the North Texas region was dealing the leftovers and after effects of a major blizzard that hit the week that led up to that Sunday. That blizzard brought the entire region to its knees, and made travel on the major freeways and roads here beyond nightmarish, as we aren't used to cold, hella icy weather like folks are up north. So you'd expect to see sand trucks out on the roads, salting down the roads, so that people could get to and from school and work, right?

Wrong. The sand trucks were mostly confined to between Dallas and Fort Worth, in the city's center - where DFW Airport and the Cowboys' stadium was, where the game was to be held. They made sure THOSE roads were salted down to ensure safe travel for Pittsburgh and Green Bay, and all their respective entourages.

But salting down those roads left no other sand trucks to salt down the other major roads and freeways in Dallas and Tarrant Counties, so that common people could get to work and take their kids to and from school, etc.

That super bowl was just a disaster, and I truly hope we don't have another one.

So a few days ago, I was at a supermarket, wandering around when I saw this hot and cute guy. He also seems awfully young...like 17 or 19 years old.

I stare at him...while he was looking at grocery items from the shelf. Then he caught me staring at him. He stare back at me.

Then he went back to checking items from the shelf. All this while, I was staring at him.

I really want to get to know him.

Then he walk away, before returing back to the same shelf...looking at the items on the shelf and giving me a quick glance....

And he left.

What was that supposed to mean? Does he want to get to know me too?

I don't know and I will never know the answer....because I left the supermarket without even getting to know him.

And now, I'm kicking myself all over.....why didn't I go and approach him? Why didn't I try to make the first move? I didn't seize the opportunity....

^^^ If you creeper him out enough he might have a restraining order. ;) Next time more talking and less stalking.

I don't think I will ever have a chance to see him again.

Thanks, but I was thinking.....in future, if I ever go out, bring a small notebook and a pen.

If I ever sees a hot guy, write down "Hi, I think you're hot...can I get to know you?? This is my number " on the paper and pass it to him.
