I disagree. He's a phony pop product. In my opinion, he's a terrible rapper. I've seen a couple of live shows a few years back, and he's terrible when he's not LIPSYNCHING to his own raps. I like a few of his songs, I'll never say he doesn't have talent, but I'm just trying to figure out what he's talented at. Releasing mediocre pop tunes and making tons of money because of Eminem? Starting pointless feuds behind a mic but running away from it in person? Picking a fight with your 'enemy' to make sure someone knows, YET AGAIN, that you were shot 9 times and you deserve street cred? Picking fights with random people just because you're a flash in the pan and it'll get you more airplay that you don't deserve?
Meh. I've never gotten the hype behind him. I've heard every one of his albums, and they're pretty much garbage, with the exception of a few songs. And what a shock, he's released a Lil Wayne diss. Aww, someone taking your fame away from 3 years ago? Poor baby.

Yeah, he should probably stop living in the past. It isn't '05 and he's crazy if he thought he was going to outsell Kanye. He had about three singles before his album was relased. But Get Rich Or Die Tryin' and the Massacre were not garbage by any means. Both were fire.

You know, I have problems with Kanye's attitude, but I don't let it reflect the quality of his music. Granted, I disagree with some when they say everything he does is innovative and original, but he does have a few masterpieces that are. I can appreciate his style of music and his intent to seperate himself from the crap that most record companies are spewing these days. I respect him as a creative artist, producer, and song writer, but I wish his attitude would deflate. And yeah, I don't find him hot. The main thing he's done that I disliked him for was his "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Stupid, stupid, stupid.
I also find 50 Cent's "hot" body to be not. Its too cut/chiseled for my taste. I can imagine why some DO think he has a hot body though, but, um, one crack is enough. lol.

I'll go so far as to compare it to the Dixie Chicks. They were destroyed and received death threats. Kanye got praises. And Kanye's statement was a lot more shocking than what the Chicks said. It's also sad that people like Kanye believe that very statement he mumbled.
I find it funny that people want to place the blame solely on Bush. And yeah, wasn't it Spike Lee who said the levees were purposefully broken in a conspiracy? That entire time was complete lunacy.
But I don't want to drag this into an offtopic. If you'd like, we can discuss it further if you'd like a thread to be made. I don't want to disrupt this one and I definitely don't want to turn this convo into a war zone.

Had he waited until the initial shock and amazement of the tragedy to die down a bit, might have been different, but I think he took advantage of the grieving public and people who actually believe what he said is true. But, like I said, everyone has their own opinion on that. Hell, I've been in a bar and yelled some things about John McCain AND Bush (I was REEEEALLY drunk) and yeah, wasn't a bright idea lol.
