Keith Oberman Verbally Attacks Bush

i was watching the show but i had to go poop when he started with britney again...i swear he's fucking in love with the 'ho. i'll catch it later at midnight.

he definitely combined the verve and witt of both alfie and me in his totally on target comments:D ..|

He's done that before (unless it was replayed). I was amazed, I'd never heard any commentator lash out at a President the way he did. I agreed with him 100%

:-)

just catch the last ten minutes of the show when it replays tonight

it will be worth the time ;)

it was new

about the upcoming 20,000 troop increase in iraq

In fairness, there really should be a disclaimer before and after Keith's show, something to the effect "this is a paid political announcement"

It is flat out scary what is considered journalism these days

He is such an angry soul

sounds like an oreilly factor description to me

sounds like an oreilly factor description to me

Could be Tucker Carlson, too.

Chance, there is only one liberal on MSNBC, and you want to make those comments? How about talking about Tucker Carlson & Joe Scarborough a bit?

O'Reilly had an equally informative piece on his show ..... a body language 'expert' analysing Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump. He was trying to answer the burning question of the day .... which one was more angry at the other, Rosie or Donald.

I'm sure it will make front page, above-the-fold news in all the major papers tomorrow.

because neither of them is very compelling or original

I'll give Keith his due that he is clearly intelligent and well spoken - that's not the point

If Tucker got up there and said shit about Nancy Pelosi or John Kerry - pick a liberal any liberal - the way Keith O rants about GWB on a regular basis - there would be an outcry

just isn't right to use the airtime in such a partisan way

my two cents

clearly in the minority

you guys love red meat

There have been no edits on this thread. Are you talking about another thread?

i guess so...i was responding to someone in some thread here in current events, lol. sadly i don't remember what it was...they're all bleeding into one big thread in my tired brain. but i could swear it disappeared when i came back to it.

i think the woodchipper thingie is missing ;)

Well, the way that I see it, Keith Olbermann isn't the only person "attacking" Bush:

(CBS) Weekly commentary by CBS Evening News chief Washington correspondent and Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer.

In the midst of the debate over sending more troops to Iraq, former Secretary of State Colin Powell probably surprised some people when he said our military is about broken. I say that because in these days of the all-volunteer force, most of America has lost touch with our military.

They're a community apart. Many Americans no longer even know someone who
serves. Except for the one-half of 1 percent of Americans who do serve in the military, the war has made little difference in our lives: No tax increases, no rationing, no real hardship.

We tell ourselves people serve in the all-volunteer force because they want to. We forget the specific promises we have made them — that they would serve for a specific period of time, that there would be a specific period of months between combat assignments.

We may not even know that as the war has dragged on, those promises have been broken.

To hold down costs and to play down the difficulty of the war, over and over, enlistments have been extended, the time between combat tours reduced and some troops are now heading back to Iraq for the fourth time. As the holiday season approaches, we always talk about remembering our troops and their families, but the talk rings hollow if we fail to understand what we have been putting them through.

Whatever our future policy, if it is going to require a larger army, we must acknowledge that and pay for it. We cannot ask more of our military than we are already asking. Our troops deserve better.

No, it's online here, but there's something gremlinish about it. It shows a posting date of 01 Jan, but it was posted today, 02 Jan... and for some reason it keeps sinking lower in rankings, lower than ususal, of course.

ancient jedi trick

mods have the ability to age a thread ;)

they used to ... havent seen it done in a long time... maybe the new program doesnt allow it and i'm just making inncorect assumptions

no matter, ..... back to the topic at hand

i was having more fun talking about keith olberman eviscerating the president...lol

now where were we?

olberman...

I think that the chance/bush crowd here doesnt get that olberman really does represent the vast majority of americans at this point on this issue.

close to seventy percent now

Frankly I saw Keith O

and just read Schieffer

and it's apples and oranges - their messages that is

then there is the 2 men's histories

Keith O is pure Bush bashing

Schieffer is all class - who is liberal leaning but speaks fairly and w/o emotion, venom and partisanship

but that's me

i'm sure i'm the only one who cares but i bumped that woodshed thread and it's still near the bottom of the thread...just sayin'.
